If you "mustache"....

Hi Everyone!
Not sure if you noticed but I changed the name of my blog so you will need to "re"follow me now. I figured now was as good a time as any because I was slacking for blogging for so long but I am getting back on the horse now.

So if I am blogging that means I am FINALLY getting creative again! With henry starting Kindergarden (sniff sniff) this year I am finding more time to get my swerve on ;)

First up is this frame I made with TONs of Core...Tim Holtz Kraft Core, Black Magic, & JBS Core Amour (sand the white finish and the red stars come through). I love love this photo of Brian's Uncle and Owen sportin' the 'staches! We found this vending machine when we were our there visiting in AR over Easter that dispensed mustaches for a quarter! What?!!??!  Needless to say a few dollars later we all had them. The blonde ones, like owen's, were the best, LOL. Of course, Uncle Dave has his own ;)

I used my Silhouette, too! Wooot woooot! Who doesn't need a mustache cut file?

Hopping with Tombow!

Who's with me? Oh, well obviously you are  if you are here :)
I have a layout for you today that I created using loads of Tombow and Core and some scraps of my Simple Stories patterned paper.  I was playing with my Silhouette and didn't have my blade right when I cut this sentiment. Me, being the hoarder that I am, was like, "how can I save this?"

The sentiment on the Kraft Core didn't really stand outs so you couldn't even read it. I grabbed some of my ink and sponge and just started dabbing it into the grooves. And, voila! You can read it.

Here it is light...I kept adding more ink...then of course adding some Tombow Stamp runner to adhere it makes it even easier!

One of the reasons (one of the many many many many many reasons) I love Core is because everything core'dinates! See the pic on the right?  That is the Chocolate Box that I used to scor and create the hatch marks in the bottom right hand corner of the layout. The pic on the left is the back of it...see how it matches my layout base perfectly? All of the lines match easily...no fuss!

I used the 6x6 Chocolate Box and then some Core Essentials.

And last but not least the TOMBOW!  I love the raised power tabs...make sticking things that need a bit more adhesive (like wood embellies) perfect!

Okay so ready for the hop???

Get Well Soon Card with Websters and Core

Happy Thursday!
Super excited to have a long weekend. I got my craft on yesterday and came across a challenge over at Simon Says Stamps and thought I would give it a go.

We had a friend recently have surgery while battling cancer so thought this would cheer him up.  And going through some of my Websters stash was fun, too!  The card base is a smooth Kraft card from the David Tutera Celebrate cardmaking system in A7 and the burnt orange is Tim Holtz Core'dinations Cardstock

Tim Holtz Kraft-Core Shattered

Playing with Core'dinations is always fun! The Tim Holtz Kraft Core Shattered cardstock is SO COOL! It's got a crackle finish on it so you don't  even need patterned paper!

I looks super cool embossed, too! Of course I used some Sizzix embossing folders from Tim as well.

And some scoring always goes a long way. And don't forget how cool it looks torn...that kraft core looks so cool!

Washi Wednesday!

I kinda like the sound of that!

AND I got crafty with my washi tape. I used my birthday money and got a typewriter. I gotta tell  you. I am a lazy scrapper. Getting out of my room, going to printer, lining up journaling, the printing, cutting..etc...BLEH!

So I decided to invest in a typewriter that I just pull out, plug in and type my journaling right then and there and I loooove it. I find myself journaling MORE! So that is what I focused on with this layout.

So first, I played with the washi design on a piece of white cardstock making sure it was lined up where my photo was going to be and then just typed away.
All cardstock is Core'dinations Cardstock, Washi is a mix of some I found on ebay, Queen & Co. and My Mind's Eye. Letters are Heidi Swapp. I cut the tag from my Silhouette with some Kraft Core and used a Cocao Daisy stamp on it...love this wine stamp I got from there...I use it a lot :)

May Arts Canvas

Happy Weekend Everyone!

Hope it is a good one!
Today I have a project for you using May Arts Woven Burlap and fuzzy Pom Pom trim. I just wanted to create something fun and bright and had this in  my mind for some time.

I also used my Xyron Sticker maker, Core'dinations Cardstock, Sweet Stamp Shop Stamps & Buttons, and Imaginisce i-Rock.

I love altering frames and things like that but making canvases isn't something I normally do but when I saw this May Arts Burlap in all these gorgeous colors...I just new I had to make some kind of rainbow. It really malleable (can you use that word for ribbon? LOL!). I love that it has structure and can do pretty much what you want it to so that is why it curves, like a rainbow, so nicely.

Masking with Ribbon

Good Morning!

Happy Wednesday!  I am here today with a post from over at May Arts.

It is quite a simple technique but I used a large sponge that you can get at any craft store and inks. This way, the ribbon doesn't get saturated like it does with mists. And, sometimes I find masking with mists isn't as exact as with a sponge...you have more control if  that makes any sense.

I used loads of Core'dinations on here. Tim Holtz Kraft Core and Tim Holtz Adirondack colors.
And I used May Arts Burlap string and May Arts Webbed Weaved Ribbon. It's much sturdier than lace.

This is one of my favorite photos. This is Max on the couch with me while I work from home. He keeps me company and just looks out the window. So sweet.

Have a GREAT day!

Yeah, Boyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Sweet Stamp Shop!
:):):)
My layout today uses this FUN set:

{Click on images to make them larger, you know to read the journaling}
So some deets about this layout. I stamped with some pigment ink right on the Vintage Core'dinations cardstock (gray) with those fun speaker stamps. I love stamping on textured cardstock! You HAVE TO try it! Don't be afraid :)  And I stamped directly on the photo using some Stazon Ink.

And for the cassette tap, I stamped it on white cs and gray (both the backsides of Core_ and then cut out the shapes. The with the gray cardstock, I just ran it through the Cuttlebug to give it some texture after I stamped it.

The red cardstock is Tim Holtz Kraft Core.

Elle's Studio Sketch

I got some serious scrappy time this past weekend and it was great. I dove into my Scrapdango kit and love all of these fun Amy Tangerine papers. I loooove the colors and of course this fun Chevron print. I think I had more fun using the bottom strips of paper than anything else. I love that companies are utilizing these strips for added designs.

I used the Elle's Studio sketch for this, I just had to when I saw it and saw these two little wallet photos tucked together up at the top of the page. You MUST get the Layered Cut outs! I have a close up of the little date one I cut out. And Elle's Studio is having a hop all week long with some Lily Bee :) I wish they had sheets with just Date cut outs {wink wink}
The green cardstock is Tim Holtz Kraft-Core. This stuff doesn't leave my desk.

PHEW!

I find less and less time to blog these days and that makes me sad!

We had some fun weekends just being at home the last few weeks after our whirlwind September.
I wanted to share with you some cards I made over World Card Making Day. I went to town. It was my first time scrapping since AUGUST!

Most of them were for the Pink Paislee Challenges they had over at Live Pink forum.

For this first one, I embossed the blackboard sticker and then rubbed my white craft ink on it to show off the embossed images. OH and the card base is Kraft Core :):):)

I used a Spellbinders pennant die for  this card....

This was for a color challenge....

And this layering stamps...I used some Gel-a-tins stamps and the twine is kind of like the Compass Rose with the map paper.
