Get Well Soon Card with Websters and Core

Happy Thursday!
Super excited to have a long weekend. I got my craft on yesterday and came across a challenge over at Simon Says Stamps and thought I would give it a go.

We had a friend recently have surgery while battling cancer so thought this would cheer him up.  And going through some of my Websters stash was fun, too!  The card base is a smooth Kraft card from the David Tutera Celebrate cardmaking system in A7 and the burnt orange is Tim Holtz Core'dinations Cardstock

Core & Hampton Art

Hi! Happy Tuesday!

I hope you are  having fun with Hampton Art & Core this week! Today I have a gift bag set for you using Core'dinations David Tutera Celebrate cardmaking system and Hampton Art stamps.

Did you know that the Step 2 layers fit perfectly on craft bags?!  How cool is that and I picked these up at  my local craft store and the A7 Large Dot embossed layer fit great. Don't forget to sand ;)
I used a bookmark tag from Step 3 for this cutie little owl. He is so sweet! You can never have too many owls in your stamping arsenal!

{remember to click on pics to make  them larger...a fun little slide show pops up}

and here is a close up of the bookmark/tag. I actually cut them on a smooth cardbase that I messed up and was going to throw away. So instead...I stamped on it and then cut the images out and raised the owl up with a pop up dot.

And you need a card, RIGHT? I add some Hampton Art stamps to the envelope and the inside of the card.

I mixed and matched some Step 3 layers and our Chocolate Box cardstock. Thought it went with the pink and brown thing. I have boys so I rarely get to use pink!!!!

SO..here is your list...happy hopping!!!

Sweet Stamp Shop October Release!

Happy Tuesday! We are excited to be with you again for another SUPER FUN release! This is always, always my most favorite time of the month.

I have been a long long long long time Philadelphia Phillies phan fan. See? I can't help myself, LOL!  I grew up going to the Vet to see games with my dad. The Vet is long gone and now we have CitiBank Field that I now take my kids to. It's a long day, over a two hour drive but it is worth it. We have so much fun and, of course, we get to see the Phillie Phanatic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I wanted to be the Phillie Phanatic when I grew up. No joke. It's on my bucket list to dance with him on the dug out one day.

So this season, they have these Phanatic hats for sale at the park. And when I saw them, I said, "that is genius!" So how perfect is this stamp set called Chemistry for that memory????

So first up the close up of the light bulb. I also stamped directly on a label sticker instead of cardstock.

click on this image to see the journal strips a bit closer. They are all stamped sentiments from this set.

I used the atom stamp and stamped directly on the wood veneer.

Cardstock is Core'dinations Jenni Bowlin Core Impressions.

A few things to remember: Final release day and reveal is the 25th. The new release deal is - the new stamps are $10!!!! YES ONLU 10 BUCKS!!!  (no code needed - they'll be marked down in the shop). Easy peasy!!!
Todays list is:

Last Day for the SSS Blog hop!

LAST Day!

We had terrible thunderstorms yesterday, last night through this morning and we just got power back so sorry I am a few minutes late today.

What a crazy night with these storms! AND we slept in too long this morning b/c no alarm ...ooops!

So here is my layout. This MME patterned paper is perfect for the hexagon stamps. I think these are going to be the hot ticket! Hexagon stamps?!?!??!!????

This layout has a great story behind it so I will summarize the journaling for you. We get together with my mom's side of the family every December for Christmas. While we were together we picked a date for my Nana's 90th Birthday party this past May. Well, I get an email from my Aunt in March or so and she tells us we added wrong that Nana is only 89! hahaha...Well...we had the party anyway and it's a good thing b/c she  is in stage 4 battling lung cancer. She had such a good time and here is a layout with all the crazy cousins singing happy birthday to her.

I love love to stamp on patterned paper so I used one as an accent here. I also cut the hexagon with my exacto knife and layered strips of Core'dinations underneath it.

And here are some more of the stamps. I layered one with a sticker (run your sticker through you embossing machines for added texture. Just put them on wax paper)

Hard Core Crop Challenge #9

Are you having fun at our very FIRST Hard Core Crop?!??!!?!?!?

The Master Challenge list is here. And we are chatting away here on Facebook. FUN FUN FUN!

My Challenge is all about Pinterest! If you love it as much as we do then check out our Boards here! We have one board called our Hard Core Projects board and that is where we pin projects from our Hard Core Fans that we LOVE!
AND DON'T FORGET ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY TO GUEST DESIGN FOR CORE!

So, naturally, I went there for my inspiration. I loved this layout from Rebecca Keppel. I have known Rebecca for a few years now. She has such a clean sense of style and, well, she just rocks! Check out her blog HERE for some more awesome projects!!! I love how she used the Core Impressions in the same pattern but different colors. And of course all that Sanding makes a Core girl like me HAPPY!

Here is the piece I lifted:

And Here is my layout. I LOVED the grid-like pattern. I am drawn to cleaner lines
and geometric shapes so you can see why I loved it so much!
Thanks, Rebecca!!!!

Click on the  images to make them larger....

Remember to always Scor from the back. I scor'd two lines at 4" and then turned the Cardstock and did it again.

Now turn it over and sand! By scoring from the back, the raised lines are on the front to show off that gorgeous Core!

Next, I took some Glitter Silk, Core Essentials and Vintage cardstock and cut three, 3.5" squares.

Make sure you emboss and distress some! Our Glitter Silk Cardstock looks GORGEOUS embossed!!!!

So...for my challenge...I challenge you to head over to our Pinterest Boards and pick something that inspires you and create! If you don't have Pinterest, feel free to use this layout or head over to our Designer's Galleries and find something to lift.

You must post your challenge entry to the link here. You can do a layout..card...altered project..sky is the limit! Just use some Core'dinations Cardstock and follow the challenge guidelines. HAVE FUN!!!!

And I am giving away this! It is smooth, silky and cuts like butter!
I can't get enough of it!

PTI Inspiration Piece

Word!

Lol, I don't know why that cracks me up, it just does. I like saying it sometimes. Like now, WORD!

So today was a total scrappy day. Had tons of fun in my room with the boys downstairs scrapping until the sun came out and it was trampoline time.

When I woke up, I found an email  from PTI and had to use the new egg die I got for Easter. I cut out some canvas pieces from Tim Holtz (adhesive backed which I love) and then embossed one of them and sprayed with some TA. Stamps are Sweet Stamp Shop and so is this fun button. I love big buttons:):):)  oh ..Burlap string is from PTI, as well.  I barely have any of this left!

Based on this inspiration piece:

Have a great week!!!!!

October Afternoon + Cards + lOvE

So, I definitely earned the bad blogger award for the last week!
Life has gotten in the way and summer has been crazy and been working so much that I neglected one one of my favorite past times...BloGGiNg!

So I got a RAK from Danni Reed and played around with some of the of the October Afternoon she sent me last week. Here are a few cards I played with and this first one was featured on their blog. Might be one of my fave cards ever.

Some yellow Core with black and white {sigh}

Just so happened there was an OA card sketch up! This is based on that sketch.
