Good Friday Morning!

It is going to be a gorgeous day today here on the East Coast. In most of the area, the kids start school Monday so I am pulling Owen out of daycare for a day at Knoebels. He has no idea!!!

So today was my final post over at Helmar as their Guest Designer for August. Check it out here. I did a layout with my For the Luv of Art kit. The misting is one of the NEW Shimmerz colors that ROCKs called Tuscan Sun.

Have a great weekend!

Summer Photo Shoot

Happy Wednesday! I just wanted to share my layout for the My Mind's Eye blog challenge and and some punches from Just Imagine Crafts and myStampBOX stamps. I looved this sketch and got a bunch of MME with my Scrapbook Trends goodie box and these colors where just talking to me, saying "scrap me!"

background cardstock is Core'dinations Core Impressions.

I used a photo strip stamp from myStampBOX on here. I lined it up, stamped it and then cut it out. Then, I lined up my Just Imagine Crafts butterfly punch and punched away. Then I used the punched butterfly and alternated it in the photo strip. I also used my dauber and Shimmerz on the ticket (used it as a tab here) and the Uniquely You diecut.

SRM Blog Hop

Ever since I was introduced to SRM STickers, I can't seem to put them down. I love how easy they are to use and versatile they are. The circle shapes fit my CM circle punch perfectly! I wasn't planning on making anything last night but Henry and I hung out in my room. He plays with my bakers twine and goes fishing for GI Joe guys and I made this :) make sure you check out their blog hop here.

I used a Tim Holtz embossing folder, some old BG in my stash and my NEW Shimmerz and Jillibean soup journaling sprout (my most favorite scrappy supply EVER) along with the SRM stickers (all goodies i purchased at FTLOA)...

And here is the sketch it was based on:

I was so excited when I saw the GDC Studio contest because I knew my August Kit from LBD was full of some juicy goodies from them :) I was so excited that I forgot the part about making a layout about your home town...LOL! How funny is that. The good part is, I have some left over ;) and I LOVE this little goody I made to hang in my dining room.

I ran the birdie and the flowers through my Cuttlebug for some added dimension....

There is a Melody Ross sticker hidden in there....

And the stamp is from Norma Kennedy over at For the Luv of Art from the June kit..OH and TONS of Shimmerz that Norma just loaded in the store!!!

Happy Friday!

How is everyone's weekend looking? Today I have to work a bit and then we get ready for owen's WIPEOUT party! Wahoo!!

We are setting up an obstacle course in the backyard. It is going to be fun!!! But we have to blow up 650 water balloons tonight, LOL. We probably won't do that many and save some for a later day but that is still a lot.

Today I wanted to share another card I made with the Little Black Dress kit club August kit. I used the Prima packaging on here and the mesh. This fun little piece of trim came with the vintage goodies so I pulled the string to roushe it a bit.

And I used another CPS sketch. I am loving their sketches! It has been awhile since I played along over there.

AND! yes, there is more, LOL! I used my goodies from Helmar :) I am the guest designer over there for the month of August. I used the Liquid Craft glue on here for the trim. Worked fabulously!

I tucked some of the scallop trim from the Sass paper behind here with the sentiment:

OH OH OH!!!!!!! WHO WANTS SOME SNEAKS??? ;) ;) ;) The August For the Love of Art is coming sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooon! :):):)

Be Inspired #95

Today is the day for the Cuttlebug Be Inspired Challenge #95. Today's Challenge was to create something heartfelt. I chose to do a sympathy card. A friend of Brian's passed away the other week. He was 37 and had a massive heart attack. They haven't seen each other in awhile. It is such an eye opener to make sure you take care of yourself. I guess he had signs of a minor attack earlier in the week but didn't have health insurance so he didn't go to the hospital. Very sad and now two small girls are without a dad. So, please please take care of yourself. You can't put a price on life, that is for sure.

Anywho, I don't want to be debbie downer today! It is a gorgeous day so let's enjoy it :)

Here is the card I created for the Cuttlebug Challenge using the Little Black Dress August kit. It is lush with reds and pinks and FAB vintage embellies! The green houndstooth is tissue paper!!!! ACK it is so cool! :) I used the Houndstooth and Argyle Folders on here.

Not sure if you can tell but I ran the tissue paper through my Cuttlebug, too. The Sentiment is myStampBOX.

And here is another card I made with the LBD August kit. I used a CPS card sketch for this one.

Again, the sentiment is myStampBOX. These circle sets fit my circle punch PERFECTLY! I did some Cuttlebug goodness on here, too :)
