Congrats!

Happy Friday! I have some more cards to share today. Working through my scraps over the last few months has been so great. I love making room for all the new scrappy stuff I just purchased within the last few weeks.

These two cards are actually two of my favorites. If you've been here before you know my love of gray! And, for me, this card sums up the last two weeks for me.....Congrats, Ellen! You made it through the last two weeks. I have been working my tail off. I picked up extra hours at work subbing for someone who lost a family member. Three 12 hour days last week and then I subbed again last night. I love it though! AND this Saturday is our St Patty's Day parade :):):)

So....Core'dinations Cardstock, Jillibean Soup, SRM stickers on this card and Making Memories big glitter alpha. I love these and raided my stash ;)

Lots of Core'dinations on this card. I just love this color combo and I cut out the stars from the Core Impressions and accented them on the card in addition to some pearls. And a fun SRM sticker sentiment with the trusty 'ole circle punch ;)

Double Trouble.

So the secret is out of the bag. I loved Double Trouble. Remember that show? Now granted I was a bit young when it first came out but I loved loved the reruns and their awesome 80's style! Oh man...who misses the 80's???? If you remember that show you gotta check out some of them videos on youtube. So fun! I remember Amber and I fighting about which twin we wanted to be.

So...what else is out of the bag? That I have been doing double page layouts! Wahoooooo! Can I tell you how much fun these are? I set some scrappy goals for myself this year and one of them was to do scrap more photos (hence my last post) and one of the ways to do that is to scrap double page layouts, right? Well sign me up. I just love doing these.
Here is one I did with some Jillibean Soup goodies and Core'dinations. I loved it and actually I have done 3 (almost) four more of these since this one, too.

So how about this Bonfire, huh? INSANE! It burned til 4 am. It was a fun night ;) Who says you can't have fun in Arkansas???????? I think I can find fun anywhere, LOL!

You can click on the image to make it larger....

I love using my Diamond Glaze from Stampin' Up! For fun little accents on my pages. A little goes a long way.

And I thought the Diamond Glaze looked great on the butterflies, too!

Halloween in March?

Yes Ma'am! It's no secret that I love Halloween...maybe more than the kiddos. Each year I say we are going to have a Halloween party but this year I swear we are! I just love seeing everyone dressed up, esp the kids. I am sure you could understand my excitement this year when Owen FINALLY let me paint his face!!!! Then, to my dismay, he wouldn't let me do it...he wanted to {sigh} himself. I cannot fight his urge for independence, I am not sure where he gets that from?

So here is a fun layout I created for {another} Challenge over at Scrap Attack Scrapbooking. They really got my mojo going the other weekend at their crop. This was for a paper folding challenge. Since I am not much of a paper folding flower kinda girl, I went with fold my Vintage Core'dinations cardstock and sanding it. As I was doing this, these little monsters were staring at me and i thought...wouldn't this be a fun place for them to sit?

Other supplies: Jillibean Soup papers, alphas, kraft and die cut shape; SRM Stickers;

Here is a close up of their little ledge....so compfy and cute. I mean scary looking....
Now sewing all this paper folding down wasn't enough. I used some Glue Arts Extreme Adhesive Squares, too.

Have a great week!!!!

Yes, we got snow AGAIN!

Poor owen, he was so upset today because gym gets cancelled when they have a snow delay. The one thing he looks forward to, well that and snack and recess. So I promised him an exclusive game of hairy ball this week. I know that sounds bad, LOL! But I will get photos when we play. They get excited b/c they are allowed to throw a ball in the house (yikes!) but with adult supervision, of course. It's kinda like dodge ball but funner ;)

OH...and before I get started....check this out!!!!! Gel-a-Tins baby! :):):) Yeah for stamping!!! I cannot wait to get started. You may need to click here if you aren't friends with Renee on FB for the previous link {oooops}

So I got a bit scrappy this weekend! I didn't think I would but when I saw this fun Jenni Bowlin core Impression mini's on my desk, I knew I wanted to play with them. They are designed for Cardmakers but you layout gals can use them, too!

So was perfect timing for Zarah's challenges over at the Nook. This first layout is based on one of her sketches.

Here is a close up of the Jenni Bowlin Mini 4x6" Calendar Series in Black Magic.

this next layout is a fun one ;) I used this Jillibean Soup Corrugated alpha sheet as a mask for another layout awhile ago so I thought it would make a fun background. Kraft on Kraft {sigh} I accented my friend, stacy's, name in the patterned paper. The die cuts and buttons are from the new Blossom Soup Line. It is so Spring and fabulous!!! You know how I love my die cuts and journal sprouts :):):):)

AND I love how you can mix and match the Blossom Soup line with the older lines. just makes your stash go that much farther :)

CHA Bound!

Well, if you are reading this than I will be thinking of you in uber sunny California. I wanted to show you some of the layouts and projects that I created over at the Nook for their crop last weekend. It has been AGES since I got to participate in a virtual crop. It was so much fun and I was on a creative high from making CHA stuff for Core that I just kept right on going! Plus, it was 2 degrees here last weekend so we couldn't even go out and play in the snow.

I can't wait to get home and share some photos, with you from CHA. WE HAD A BLAST!

Here is a layout I did about Nutty Families (I don't need to explain a lot here). Lots of Jillibean Soup goodness on here. I don't know about you but I have been stalking their blog (and probably their booth right about now, LOL) these past few weeks. The background cs is Core Vintage.

I used my Diamond Glaze as an accent to the Jillibean journal sprout. OH and a BRAND new Elle's Studio journal spot, too.

And some Echo Park goodness here.

I ran the cs stickers through my Cuttlebug (put them on wax paper) and then I used my hammer and Cuttlebug embossing border for the cardstock edge. It's too big to run through the machine so this is an easy way to do it. Some ppl use a rolling pin but you need to really push hard so I bust out the hammer. Much easier and helps relieve stress, too ;)

It's a Snow Day!

Two hour snow delay today!!! Don't you wish you could go out and play for an hour and still have the energy to go to school? LOL! I love kids ;)

It's time for Cards on Friday! Hahaha...seriously no rhyme or reason to that. I just have to catch up on sharing some cards.

OH and a quick note....today is the LAST day to leave comments over at the Core blog to win some Core'dinations Cardstock!!!!! We had an awesome week teaming up with Helmar. Speaking of Helmar...all these cards are using their adhesives. Zap Dots...450 Quick Dry adhesive...tape runnner...you name it! AND they are doing a give-a-way on their blog, too ;)

This first card is on the Core blog today using some Jenni Bowlin Core Impressions and Vintage cardstock. Oh and some Unity stamps and May Arts Ribbon, too. Thought this would be a fun gift for my scrappy friends so I can give them some pins (we always swap stuff). Too bad I made this awhile ago and totally forgot about them come Christmas time. So typically me!

AND my Thanks card for Webster's Pages January Challenge. Thought this sentiment was just too perfect for my time with them this past year.

Oh, and a Merry Christmas card featuring the petite 6x6 paper from the Webster's collection. I loooooove these!!! The stamps is a Unity Webster's stamp embossed with clear embossing powder. I like the pop of color from the Jillibean Soup felt flowers.

Mornin'

Well, I guess it isn't the morning anymore. We are a bit behind today. We had to make a trip to the doctor this morning. Pink eye has sprung in our house just in time for Christmas. Henry's eyes were pasted shut this morning and owen has it in is one eye. And or course, my eyes feel all itchy, LOL!

Here are a few cards from the weekend. The first one is featuring Core'dinations Core Essentials and the outlining technique. The 12 Days of Techniques is going on over there so make sure you check it out! Give-a-ways EVERY DAY!!!!!

I used a myStampBOX stamp for the sentiment.

Here is a gift card set that I made over the weekend. I just love these canvas flowers from Jillibean Soup. I cannot get enough of them. I used my Jillibean Soup Unity stamps, too. I cut out a "faux" gift card to give you an idea where you can slide it in.

And a little card to go along with it. I just love Jillibean Soup packaging so I used it on this card. Cardstock is Core Impressions Jillibean soup.

Have a great weekend!!!

counting down the hours...

Until work is over tonight! Cannot wait for a nice looooooooooooooooooooong weekend with absolutely nooooooooooooooooooooooothing to do! I have been in the scrappy mode over the last few weeks, I guess it is the Holidays just make me feel crafty and I hope to get a lot done over this weekend. I haven't even started a holiday journal yet.

OH...and did you see that little snippet over on the right hand corner of my blog? Webster's Winter Wonderland! Save the dates, ladies. It is going to be huge! HUGE! HUGE!

I wanted to share with ya'll a layout I created with the Magistical Memories Sketch this month. This is one of my all time favorite photos. Henry just looking so small but fearless in this photo. I used lots of Pink Paislee Old School on here that I got from For the Luv of Art. OH and how could I forget my circle cutter from Just Imagine crafts? LOVE that thing to make big circles FAST.

How cute is that little Jillibean Soup car!

Have a SAFE and Happy Holiday everyone!
For the Magistical Memories chipboard, I used my Quickutz handle and embossing plate and just randomly embossed the dots. Then I went crazy with the Lemon Zest Glimmer Mist.

What's up Wednesday?

Can I getta woot woot!?!?!?!? Super stoked about this :):) :) I've got everything crossed right about now...even things I didn't know I had are crossed! wish me luck, I am going to need it with that list.

AND today is a GREAT day over at Passionately Artistic! TONS of goodies going on over there....make sure you link up your fall goodies for a chance to be spotlighted and for some goodies!!! My good friend Maggie works so hard over there to bring inspiration every day.

I have some more FTLOA projects to share with you. A card using some Jillibean Soup patterned papers (that Norma knows how much i LOVE their stuff so she spoils me) and a myStampBOX stamp. ANd I was spotted again today :) I don't know...this paper reminded me of a necktie....just some freehand cutting...

And a layout using Pebbles Inc papers. I have to tell you, I am definitely ordering more of their lines SOON! You know me, I love a good boy line and this is no exception. And tons Cuttlebug embossing on here as well.

The cardstock is Core'dinations....and the camera stamp is from August's For the Luv of Art kit. I hit it with some Adirondack color washes....

Bella Blvd letters that I ran through my Cuttlebug. Just put them on wax paper and voila!

Home Decor....

So I altered these candles a loooong time ago. Hmmmm...maybe about 3 years ago with some Basic Grey papers they don't even sell anymore, LOL! Think it was time for an update?

Norma send me some Pink Paislee Old School goodies to work with this month. The colors matched the earth tones in our living room perfectly so I grabbed these candles right away. Even brain commented that he was wondering when I was going to redo them, LOL!

All the supplies are from the FTLOA store including the ribbon, Jillibean Soup Canvas flowers and cuuuute butterfly.

For this candle...I used the Pink Paislee old school canvas borders for the flower. I just kept tucking in the scalloped border until it made a flower and then trimmed off the excess. Oh and the punch is from Martha Stewart. LOOOVE this..the lovely Joyce once again let me highjack her punches for the day ;0 Then I added the felt flower. Note to self: need more practice making these ribbon flowers, LOL!

Have a great week!

Good Morning!

I am soooo pumped! I have to work for a few hours and then I am off to see Cleopatra at the Franklin Institute! I love all things Egyptology related and this is no exception. Even better...I get to see my girls and hit one of the yummiest sushi joints in the Conshy area. YEAH! My stomach is thanking me already. Oh i have to laugh...as soon as I made that post about losing weight I jumped on the gain train, LOL! I guess it had to happen sooner or later so I need to shock my body next week. Any suggestions? I just love running this time of year. So we'll see...

Check out these cool sneaks from the exhibit.....

Soooooooooooooo....Time for some scrappy stuff. I can't blog without that, LOL! These are some projects I created with Core'dinations Vintage Cardstock. When I think of fall I think of this line of paper...the warm fall colors look amazing in the Vintage line. The card was featured in the Core booth at CHA this summer. I used my BTA for the Thankful Journal and lots of embossing here and a fave Jillibean Soup button.

And Joyce's Maple leaf punch that I hoard at her house, LOL! Now that I think of it..I might have posted this card already...oh well...it's festive for this time of year ;)

Trick or Treat

Smell My Feet!!! Yes, a total kid at heart here...LOVE me some Trick-or-Treating :) :) :)

Here are a few shots of the kiddos this year....

Here is Owen as Frankenstein. Yeah for face paint!!! He always picked something where you needed a mask and we never got to paint his face so i was soooo stoked for this year's costume.

Cutest football player EVAH! Yes, henry said he wanted to be a football player! He loooves to tackle and play football so this wasn't a surprise. BUT if you knew me and brain's dad...you would know that we are EAGLES fans! ARGH......

A tab blurry....but fun! :) :) :)

This layout is actually of Owen last year. They had contest at school to decorate your pumpkin but it had to be inspired by your favorite book so owen picked a Christmas book about some snowmen putting a play together in the South Pole. It is a cute story b/c they felt that Santa forgot about them bc the were the South Pole, not the North Pole. So anywho...Owen made a snowman out of his pumpkin! 8 coats of white paint later and the carrot that wouldn't stick ;)

Supplies: Echo Park papers, stickers, and digi download. Core'dinations Couture Cardstock, Jillibean Soup journal spot. I LOVE this glittery Core cardstock!!! And you know I am not a glitter girl ;)

I raised some of the images.

I embellished the pumpkins, too. Ran one through the Cuttlebug...stickles...
