Yes, we got snow AGAIN!

Poor owen, he was so upset today because gym gets cancelled when they have a snow delay. The one thing he looks forward to, well that and snack and recess. So I promised him an exclusive game of hairy ball this week. I know that sounds bad, LOL! But I will get photos when we play. They get excited b/c they are allowed to throw a ball in the house (yikes!) but with adult supervision, of course. It's kinda like dodge ball but funner ;)

OH...and before I get started....check this out!!!!! Gel-a-Tins baby! :):):) Yeah for stamping!!! I cannot wait to get started. You may need to click here if you aren't friends with Renee on FB for the previous link {oooops}

So I got a bit scrappy this weekend! I didn't think I would but when I saw this fun Jenni Bowlin core Impression mini's on my desk, I knew I wanted to play with them. They are designed for Cardmakers but you layout gals can use them, too!

So was perfect timing for Zarah's challenges over at the Nook. This first layout is based on one of her sketches.

Here is a close up of the Jenni Bowlin Mini 4x6" Calendar Series in Black Magic.

this next layout is a fun one ;) I used this Jillibean Soup Corrugated alpha sheet as a mask for another layout awhile ago so I thought it would make a fun background. Kraft on Kraft {sigh} I accented my friend, stacy's, name in the patterned paper. The die cuts and buttons are from the new Blossom Soup Line. It is so Spring and fabulous!!! You know how I love my die cuts and journal sprouts :):):):)

AND I love how you can mix and match the Blossom Soup line with the older lines. just makes your stash go that much farther :)

Contest! Contest!

Have you seen the MEGA HUGE contest going on over at Two Peas??? Webster's Pages is sponsoring a ginormous prize package and you don't want to miss it! I know I have said this a million times before but Webster's is so so so generous!

AND don't forget that every week there is a give-a-way going on at Webster's Pages blog. Brandin has been documenting her journey into the world of scrapbooking versus designing and it has been amazing. She really has a way with words and her inspiration is endless.

So today I wanted to share with you some layouts I haven't shared. It is funny...layouts I don't share are like extra money I find laying around. I just HAVE to spend that money, LOL...well with layouts I just HAVE to share them.

Note: Henry was totally safe during this photo shoot ;)

Darcie's Shadow Box = COOL!

This week I reviewed Jenni Bowlin Farmer's Wife collection, including the red diecut journaling spots, AND Darcie's Shadow box over at Serendipity Scrapbooks. I have a mini I made that I will post later this week.

These Darcie's Shadow Boxes are really cool! In this package, you will receive THREE different size shadow boxes. You do need to cut, score and glue them together but Darcie's provides you with wonderful, color, step-by-step instructions. And this box only took me a little over an hour to put together! that is not bad for this little treasure I have now to share with my husband. I would DEFINITELY recommend these. And did I mention you get THREE in a box?

The entire box comes in the package, you just need to cut it out, score it and then adhere it according to the directions. I used glimmer mists on part of it and covered the rest with pattern paper. You could the same or even use stamps on here since this is light weight chipboard.

I accented the our Anniversary Date on the calendar.

I chose to make a the 5.5" x 6.5" box and did a little something for our anniversary coming up in june. I used the Jenni Bowlin Farmer’s Wife collection and the red calendar journal spots.

This detail shot allows you to see the folding involved and where it needs to be covered with paper or something else. You could also leave parts of it white if it matched your project since these are great quality.

Tonsils + a layout

sorry i haven't been visiting, i love to visit blogs when i have my coffee in the morning but i got my tonsils out last thursday and the road to recovery has been a bit longer than i thought. i guess i am not 20 anymore, LOL! this morning was really rough, the mornings really are painful and my stomach isn't holding up to the pain meds anyore since i am not eating a lot. i did eat eggs yesterday! woot woot!

but i am glad that there will be no more strep in my life. i don't remember what it feels like to be healthy, really. since i had it pretty much since november.

for those of you who have called TAHNK YOU! i will call tomorrow when my voice {may} sound a bit normal. LOL!

this is not a pity party. i did scrap a bit today! it felt nice. it is GORGEOUS here today, so i sat outside with the dogs a bit and then thought to myself, "self, get your butt in there and do something!" so i did ;) and i am excited for this weekend since their seems to be a lot going on. GCD studios is having a blog party and CMK is having a spring fling so that is where you will find me.
i dug into my March CMK kit.

i used my Mamosa Glimmer mist on the twill from SavvyNSassy {did i mention i get all my ribbon from there???} and the cb piece.
