ahem. Save the drama for your mama! LOL. thanks for letting me get that off of my chest! How funny is it that my friend, Kim K. just sent me an email to buy a Cancer Sucks t-shirt. I am all over that one.

I just wanted to share with you some Dream Street Goodies that I got to play with for Serendipity Scrapbooks this month!

the Simply Stated collect by Amy Teets. Yeah baby! Last month i got to work with the Menagerie Collection. Have Serendipity as one of the stores that carries all of the Dream Street lines is so convenient!

TFL!

I love that one side of these papers is floral or has some kind of design and the other side has more of a graphic print to it. That makes them super flexible.

This layout is of me and my girls this summer! I added some Glitz CB stickers along with the Dream Street Simply Stated papers. Ooh lala! these are a must have too! I just love red and teal together and i thought it looked good with black and white.

This next one is of one of my best friends! i was joking with her this day about how i knew she liked pink deep down inside. I doubt it! but i couldn't resist making this layout about it and cutting out these polka dot potty people. I just like the way that sounds. And i heated up some page frames grid acrylic to get the sides to bend. oh. and I inked the SR letters a bit, too!

All i have to say is WOW! thanks so much for everyone who came to Scrap Pink. I mean 20 bucks just to scrap and hang out with some of the coolest scrappy chics i know, ahem-me!, LOL, is worth it!

We did good kids!

{my dates here might be off a bit but you get the idea}

Brian's best friends are brothers and there mother was diagnosed with breast cancer 3.5 years ago and had a double masectomy. It spread to her lymph nodes and i remember beth, their sister, telling me about the nights she spent with her mother in the bathroom thinking that the treatments alone would kill her. But almost 4 years later she is still in remission.

Her sister was diagnosed with breast cancer 2 years ago.

Just last year their cousin who is 35? maybe? was diagnosed too.

When i was in high school my mom had 2 small tumours taken out of her breasts. Not cancer. yeah. i have dense breasts too. keep checkin'!

but it doesn't stop at breast cancer.

Brian's dad had his second round battle with esophogeal cancer and came out swinging but that was after he had 88 staples along his neck and chest and they had to dig out a tumour against his jugular. He had a 50/50 chance of making it that day. He was diagnosed with esophogeal cancer 4 days after his brother, brian's uncle, died of prostate/bone cancer.

My best friend died when i was 20 years old from leukemia. she was 19. found out she had leukemia because she had a cold she couldn't get rid of. She was diagnosed when she was 17.

You may think 20 bucks is too much. You may think it's not enough. but the important thing is that cancer makes you think, whatever the cost.

this isn't a pitty party, you know me...keep it fun and light but today it was more than that for me. Today was a day to be thankful for my life and everyone i love that i have near me.

Okay! time for a snack.

Well, i have made the decision to go to typepad! i am in the process of setting it up. AND i have a little something going on right now that I can't wait to share with everyone!

In the meantime, here are some Serendipity Scrapbooks Reveal Items. How cool are these Dream Street papers? and I love these little Maya Road cutie chipboard buttons.

I think I found one of my new favorite things to do. Make my own polka dots. All you have to do is use your stylus, dip it in the paint and then add them to any product. I did it today with some primas too! I also used some new filters on the Today I am thankful for you Layout. And of course, adding titles right to my pics! love it!

i love the browns & blues in this pp!

and a fun little card!
