Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! I also hope that everyone had a wonderful Holiday Season. I have been so busy with trying to squeeze in some work right now. It is hard when everyone is celebrating to get in to see some clients AND we woke up to snow this morning. It is bitterly cold here in the Northeast...well, at least the wind died down.

That is actually a great introduction to this card I did for Serendipity Scrapbooks this month. I LOVE this kit so much. It is jam packed with Bella Blvd {I love love their label stickers!!! i used one on this card} and BG and Core'dinations. Kristen always finds these cool wooden embellisments, too. I used my Shimmerz on this one...of course...no shine for me on this photo, lol.

Stay WARM everyone and, again, be SAFE and HAPPY this New Year!!!

Also, here is a little jar I made to hold my beloved Hershey kisses. I used my Cricut to cut out the holly and then ran them through my Cuttlebug. Of course...I used some Core'dinations Cardstock b/c it is just the perfect addition to any project I use with my Cuttlebug! Add some big ole bling for the berries and you are good to go! The stamp is from myStampBOX {you know the HOHOHO kit I have been using 24/7 this Christmas}

I also painted the lid, sanded it a bit and then addes some Shimmerz to it.

Have a Wonderful Holiday!

Not sure if I will get to post before the big day comes so I hope everyone has an amazing holiday!

Someone is ready for the big guy ;) I told him that he can't sleep there tomorrow night, though.

I don't have any new projects to post right now but I never got a chance to put these up earlier because they got picked up for Scrapbook Trends December and Simply Handmade December so I didn't get the chance to share them but now I can! This Sass paper is still one of my favorite holiday lines ever.

This little guy had a 3 page spread!

Monday...Monday

So who is ready for some Christmas???

WELL...Christmas wouldn't be Christmas if you didn't have your letter ready for Santa ;) I have jumped on the envelope bandwagon, finally, lol and when I saw these at CutCardstock I had to grab them and this is my version. There are so many cool things to do with them... I instantly thought of writing a fun, quirky letter of my own to Santa. Of course, I had to embellish it with some Shimmerz and I used some of my favorite 7 gypsies rubons on the flap. OH and the FAB Jenni Bowlin line from Core'dinations cardstock. I just LOVE this color pallette...it is very similar to the colors in our dining room.

Here is a close-up of the tree..

And i inserted my letter to Santa here....even though the letter starts out silly...it really is just thanking him for making all my dreams come true and my wonderful happy and healthy family. i also asked him to bless another family that may be needed some good cheer this year.

AND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got another fun creation from this Pink Paislee paper...I love love love challenging myself to see how much I can get out of one piece of patterned paper.

I got some Martha Stewart Twine from my awesome Secret Santa so I altered the container...

Again...more Core'dinatins Black Magic Cardstock here...sanded after it went through my Cuttlebug...those two are bff's i swear!

myStampBOX goodies!

Did you know you could layer Chipboard and patterned paper and stamp on them? With myStampBOX stamps, it is so easy! check out the tutorial i did here ;). I ran this plan ole office tag through my Cuttlebug, too. Super easy.

Here is another myStampBOX project....I made this shaped card with some BoBunny chipboard frames, Cosmo paper and my FAVE sentiment stamps from myStampBOX...there's a little bit of Core in there too ;)

Fabulous Friday!

I hope everyone had a great week! We are off to Doyelstown, Pa today {outside of Philly} to see some friends and cannot wait! It is the cutest, quaintest town and then tomorrow to my Nana's Christmas party with all the cousins. We are the traveling wilburys in December ;)

Make sure you check out Serendipity Scrapbooks December kits {Webster's Pages, Eskimo Kisses and Bella Boulevard!} they are almost GONE!

Here is a super quick card I put together using Core'dinations Color Cardstock and the Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses Chipboard pieces and the sentiment are the AWESOME Bella Blvd Dec. Details label addition stickers!!! love love love these...I used the whole sheet ;)

I layered the ornaments on the tree....

AND NEXT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is my nephdog, Charlie. Isn't he cute??? He LOVES Christmas b/c we just put tissue paper in stockings with a bone and he goes NUTS...it's too cute...so I had to make a playful layout with him. I gave him antlers like the pooch from the Grinch ;)

I used the lace cardstock as a mask with some white pigment ink and I tacked down the hemp and added the ornaments along the bottom.

Serendipity Scrapbooks Altered kit = Gorgeous!

Have you seen this? It's not just about a give-a-way, but a little girl and wife who lost their dad. I can't even imagine one day, you wake up thinking that today is going to be like any other day and than bam, something like this happens....so...for a couple bucks I think I can do something.

Serendipity Scrapbooks December kits are GORGEOUS! wowowowowowow...you better run your but over there and get one....two of them are packed with Webster's goodies and the altered kit {the one featured here} has loads of Bella Boulevard December Details, Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses and this cool LYB present album. It's RED! How cool is that?

Instead of making mine an album, I did a wall hanging. I lined up the pages of the album and tied the together with some hemp.

Here is what it looks like laid out and ready to go...unfortunately I don't have my decorations up yet so this isn't on my wall yet. But it will this weekend! I used my fave pics from last year.

and then a close up......................

For this layout, I did some embossing with my Core'dinations Color Cardstock and I used the string of lights from the BG chipboard pieces for the antlers.

This is my sister and owen be funny. They cracked me up, my mom had to yell at them to stop so we could keep opening presents!

Here is a little about my project...I did little invitations for a Cookie Party! The holidays are all about cookies and baking and being in the kitchen with your friends and family. Every year we make cookies that you roll out the dough and paint them with food coloring and egg wash and they are soooooooooooooooooo fun. I did it when I was little with my mom and now owen and do it, too. My mom would let me have some friends over because we did 100's of them so I do the same with owen and we have some friends come over to help. I thought these would be perfect for them and they each get their own cookie cutter.

I used the hohoho set and the Funky Alphabet sets. I stamped the reindeer right on the patterned paper and then I stamp the alphas on the back of the Core'dinations Cardstock. The front is white because it is from the Whitewash collection and the yellow is the core color that comes through when you sand. I love how the burgundy ink pops off that yellow and the Funky Alphabets are soooooo fun to cut out!

On the inside, I printed the recipe...

another Close up....I used Webster's Pages patterned papers for this project.

Now on to Tracey's wonderful blog to catch more fun ideas for all kinds of parties! Don't forget to leave a comment on each blog to be eligible for our blog hop prize! Good luck.

Webster's Pages baby! I am so excited. I love love love love their products and have been a fan since they debuted. I got a guest spot this summer and was wanting to come back something fierce and I couldn't more excited.

{that is me break dancing in case you were wondering ;}

In celebration of the 6 month spot on the team, I will share MORE Websters!

This is a card I made with some of my leftovers from the crop and the backside of some Core'dinations Cardstock. The stamp is a Unity stamp my mom got me as fun surprise!

And here is an ornament I made for Audrey's Challenge at the Webster's crop. I love these cones that I got from my grandmother. I covered it with Shimmerz goodness!

More Websters Inspiration...

Good Tuesday Morning!

It feels so good to be back to blogging...between the Holidays, grading midterms and getting some silly bug that had me wiped out this weekend...I love feeling good again.

I forgot to mention on my last post that the wonderful scrubster surprised me Friday Morning and got us body wraps! I lost 21.5"! How cool is that? he lost 9 and only did his chest, stomach and hips....darn those men and how they loose the weight so easily! I am still drinking water like a mad women...it has me really dehydrated and I know I drank more than the required 64 oz, LOL! I am getting more excited for my new Banana Republic dress I scored last week for the Holidays. Gosh I love that store, I just need another job for it, LOL!

So here is an altered Ball glass jar I made for the Webster's November Challenge to alter a kitchen item. I used more of their new holiday lines that will be available in TWO kits at Serendipity Scrapbooks today! I love love love recycling things around the house and altering them. I find myself wanting to do this more and more than scrapbooking layouts.

I layered my Shimmerz paints I got at Serendipity on the prima felt flowers and the red flower...I never get the right light for those to sparkle...

I also ran the tag through my Cuttlebug and used a cool American Crafts foam shape I got over at Scrapadilly.

My mom and her friend Louise had me bring my BTA {make sure you check out the Zutter Sisters 12 Days of Christmas} to our scrappy weekend and I think I made 10+ of these coffee mini albums. The were easy once I got my mom to cut all the inside sheets, LOL! But I loooooooooooooooove reindeers and Andrea let me cut a bunch out with her Cricut {all hail the Cricut goddess---her not me, LOL!}.

Again, I spread the Shimmerz love on the reindeer...i love that i can use the paint on this kind of stuff so it doesn't curl on me.

Okay...hope everyone has a great week! I can't wait to blog hop and see all the fun Holiday treats everyone is making this month...such a fun time of year!

12 Days of Christmas

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. As I sit here and type as our day is slowly winding down...I just can't believe how lucky I am for having such an amazing family. I know I joke about "brain" a lot but he really is the best. I am so thankful for everything we have. We work hard and it has paid off. Today as I washed dishes, I was even thankful for water. I stood there and wondered {with the water off, of course ;} what it must be like to not have water...to have to walk miles for it and we can wake up and turn on our faucets and it is just there. I just think it is all the small things added up that makes life so wonderful.

In the celebration of the holidays, Websters Pages had a crop and it was a BLAST! If you know me, use every itty bitty piece of my Websters! I participated and got almost every challenge done! I have one on my desk that I just couldn't get done and I am definitely making Karola's house...it is gorgeous....

but here are a few things I created:

This is one of my favorites...I altered a Coffee Cozy! I used Core'dinations Whitewash and my Cuttlebug.

And this is a wall hanging I did with some more Core'dinations from the Chocolate Box collection.

Here is a close-up of this cute little gingerbread house. LOVE this pp!

And then for one of the challenges for making a gift bag, I used the Crayon Box from Creative Cuts& More. I ran the Websters Papers and the tag through my Cuttlebug and finished it off with a myStampBOX stamp from the Hohoho set.

I was Inspired by some challenges going on over Webster's Pages Be Inspired site and one of them was using a glass backing and I thought, "how perfect! this will be just perfect for my project with lights".

So here is what I came up with... {all papers are Websters. I ran the paper flowers, the American Crafts Thickers and some of the balloons through my Cuttlebug}. I made the clouds from my Pearl Alcohol Inks and then I added Shimmerz in the clouds for some shadowing and sparkle and the stamp in the bottom right hand corner is a myStampBox stamp for their travel stamps.

here are some close-ups so you can see how I raised the balloons, the texture on the letters and flowers...
