April Showers

April Showers Bring may Flowers....right??? So I will be thankful for the rain we are getting today. LOL! I can't complain, the breeze we had flowing through the house last night was amazing! And 80 degrees :):):) ... if only for a short moment ;) ;) ;)

So how is your week looking? time moves so quickly. I have some goooood news! I had a few cards picked up for the recent Cricut Magazine calls! Wahoo! I am so glad that I am using it more and more and it is such a great tool to have in your arsenal of scrappy supplies.

You know what else every scrapper should have???? AN I-ROCK! Back in the beginning of the month, I won an i-rock over at the Imaginisce blog!!! Not sure if you have even been over there (I am sure you have) but they are beyond generous with their give-a-ways so check it out. In celebration of my winnings, I wanted to post a fun little project I made with some Imaginisce goodies.

It is a fun little gift card holder and perfect for Spring. I love these crayon boxes. They are so great for all your paper crafting needs.

Some stamping on Core'dinations...

More Stamping... and I cut the layers for the flower & the butterfly with some Spellbinders dies and then embossed it.

And can you see the rubons on the clothespin?

It's a Snow Day!

Edited: I changed my blog header last night using some Echo Park goodies in honour of us getting MORE snow ;)

WAhoo! The great wet kind that you can build a hUgE snowman!!!! So I got my scrap on this weekend. Everyone took a nap here on Saturday so I thought it would be a great time to jump on some challenges over at Scrap Attack Scrapbooking.

Here is a layout I did using the word "love" in the title and/or journaling. Papers, embellies, chipboard numbers are Sassafrass Lass, chipboard hearts are Maya Road using their mist, too, and Cardstock is Core'dinations Core Impressions Cosmo Cricket. Not sure if you can notice but I cut the flower patterned paper in an asymmetrical shape for something different.

I love running outside (not to be confused with the dreaded treadmill, LOL!) And for the "1"...I ran out of chipboard number 1's so I used the negative space from the package and then cut my own ;) and then ran it through the Cuttlebug.

And this paper comes with stitching images so I randomly stitches some of them around the page...

Next up is a card for the Elephant challenge over at the Nook. This little guy makes me smile. I just love this MME Alphabet soup line!

Embossing Fabric

I think this month's Scrapbooks, etc has to be my favorite!I think I like this mag so much b/c of all the tips and techniques. You know me and my techniques ;)

I really enjoyed every layout and when I saw the tip on embossing on fabric I knew I had to try it with Webster's Fabric Fancies. If you have this issues you should definitely check out that article (layout is by Kandis Smith). I have tried to emboss on Webster's fabric trims before by adhering it to paper with spray adhesive and other various adhesives but it just didn't take. And if you know me, I emboss everything. Brian told me one day he is going to come home and the kids are going to be embossed, LOL!

So, what you need to do is use masking tape! DER! Hello, Ellen. All you need is some masking tape {sigh}. BrIlLiAnT! So when I saw there was a crop over at the Nook, I had to jump on this.

Here is the back with the masking tape after I embossed it with the Morrocan Folder (one of my all time faves). I practiced it on this one first, you know as a tester. So many times I just go for it and then ruin what I am working on. WELL, guess what. I LOVE the tester, LOL!

This is a rather simple layout but I wanted these photos on one page. WE have so much fun and I knew I wanted to use Garden Gala, too. This pp was one of my FAVES of WEbster's and I hoarded this last piece. I actually cut the center that is covered with the photos to use for the raised embellies....shhhhhhh!

Here is the back with the tape after it is embossed.

And then the front...

This is the one on my layout. I sprayed it with some Suede Glimmer mist so it looks a bit darker than normal:

OOOH! and didyou see the new colors at the Twinery??? :):):)

AND don't forget to check out Everything Etsy and their HUGE give-a-ways this week!

Here is my card for this week's challenge...I was inspired by the orange of this time of year. The core'dinations Gemstone cardstock is embossed with my Cuttlebug.

Stamps are Unity. I used the backside of the gemstone to stamp and then layered with some black magic. Have you seen Queen & Co. Rox yet??? They are so fun!!!!!!!

And here is another card for fun....I stamped on the Tag {Unity Stamp} with stazon. I loooove these bread tags from Nikki Sylvis!!! I got mine at For the Luv of Art :) Some more Core on here too ;) I wanted this card to look like a present and don't these little guys look like they are gonna smooch? so cute.

Have a GREAT week!

WCMD Hangover

Yep, I spent a ton of time in my craft room this week. I have done 8 cards and a few other little things and I am not done yet, LOL! I have been in there all day today and need to take a break but something came over me. We even went to the pumpkin patch this weekend. I did a killer workout yesterday and the inner thighs are screaming so I am bloggin instead of hitting the treadmill today. SHHH!

Here is a card I created over the weekend using some fun Echo Park Halloween papers. I put the cardstock sticker on a piece of wax paper and ran it through my Cuttleubg. It peels off relatively easy. This one had some skinny parts on the tree so I had to be careful.

I rased the bat, stars and fence with Black Helmar Zap dots.

I also made this little gift box using a clear Pillow Box from FTLOA. I got to work with these ADORABLE MME Alphabet Soup papers and these 52 deck of cards is the CUTEST! I punched holes in the upper left hand corner with my Crop-a-dile and then attached them. I have a guy at work having a baby and I am going to give this (and the mini album I am doing that isn't finished yet) as a gift.

Have a great weekend!!!!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! I also hope that everyone had a wonderful Holiday Season. I have been so busy with trying to squeeze in some work right now. It is hard when everyone is celebrating to get in to see some clients AND we woke up to snow this morning. It is bitterly cold here in the Northeast...well, at least the wind died down.

That is actually a great introduction to this card I did for Serendipity Scrapbooks this month. I LOVE this kit so much. It is jam packed with Bella Blvd {I love love their label stickers!!! i used one on this card} and BG and Core'dinations. Kristen always finds these cool wooden embellisments, too. I used my Shimmerz on this one...of course...no shine for me on this photo, lol.

Stay WARM everyone and, again, be SAFE and HAPPY this New Year!!!

Also, here is a little jar I made to hold my beloved Hershey kisses. I used my Cricut to cut out the holly and then ran them through my Cuttlebug. Of course...I used some Core'dinations Cardstock b/c it is just the perfect addition to any project I use with my Cuttlebug! Add some big ole bling for the berries and you are good to go! The stamp is from myStampBOX {you know the HOHOHO kit I have been using 24/7 this Christmas}

I also painted the lid, sanded it a bit and then addes some Shimmerz to it.
