Has it been a week???? ARGH! It is hard to be such a slacker!!!

We have started a new thread in the Serendipity Scrapbooks {link to the right} for blogging challenges! I love this idea...I love to post pics with every post I do on here so I think this will be a brilliant way to spark some creativity and inspiration for me here.

If you click on my profile, you can go right to the Serendipity Blog b/c I help do the posts over there as well.

So this week's challenge is to post your favorite techniques! WELL....mine are...HYBRID, STAMPING AND MAKING EMBELLIES {my new favorite}. I love making my own embellies now b/c I can incorporate my other to favorite techniques in them too!

So here are a few pics....

The first two are embellishments I made out of supplies I had. The first one {i posted a similiar one below in some sneaks} is just some circles of Daisy D's Paper I cut out, sanded and crumpled. I use the corner of my table or turn a bottle upside down {keeps the rounded edge} to do this. The second is a ribbon flower.

The Second one is Hybrid. This is the top of a tin can i altered with Maggie Lamarre's Designs. I printed this flower in 3 descending shapes and cut them out and then layered them on the lid of the can {don't take the lid off the can all the way, just bend it up a bit and file it so you don't cut yourself}

The Third is Stamping.
Again, I think this is a lot like making your own embellishments but stamping is how I got into scrapbooking and I just can't enough of it. On the first one I embossed some SU! stamps and layered and layered them with dimensionals and added lots of glitter, stickles and other goodies. And the second one, I stamped these patterns right on my cardstock to make a unique design and my own patterned paper in a sense.

Here are some GLITZ goodies!!! IF you haven't gotten one of their cd's yet you have to get one. They are super easy for anyone thinking about trying a hybrid kinda style. And you can print, then print again, and then...YUP! you guessed it..print AGAIN!

I love their Frosting too. Comes in two sizes and you get a ton of it. Thanks Happy Scrappin' Scrapbooking!

I added some close ups of the details of the first and last ones. I used Crackle Paints {two different ones} and some sequin stars and finally, on the last one I made my own kind of notebook paper. All you have to do is punch holes down the side of the paper fairly close to each other and then snip them with a scissor and it looks like your own notebook paper and you can make it in any kind of paper! I hope you can see the detail on it!

All I have to say is, WOW! the DT call over at Serendipity Scrapbooks is over and it was so amazing. I cannot believe all of the amazing entries, I am so glad I am not Kristen! Such a tough decision.

The HSS upload got pushed back so I have a few sneak peaks for you from there and Serendipity Scrapbooks. I am so lucky to get to work with all of these products!

From HSS I used Glitz Papers and Doodlebug Products!

From Serendipity Scrapbooks I got to use the Just Enough Kit!

well, guess what! there is a DT call over at Serendipity and if you are thinking of finding a great team to work on, PLEASE go over there. I love everyone I work with, Kristen is super generous and so is Stacey the DT Coordinator. so please go over and check it out! Mimi, Elizabeth, Julie, Christy, Kandis, Sandi are all so awesome too, I have made some great friends which I cherish.

Here are some things I did for the monthly reveal over there. I got to play with some awesome Urban Lily papers, KI Lace and lots of other goodies!!!

I did a lot of altering with this stuff. I did a series of three wall hangings in the living room which gives that space a cool modern feel. I also wrapped some presents this year too! That was fun! and I stamped on them too with my Inque Boutique stamps that I love. I have some more projects in my gallery over there I just didn't want to overload this post.

Hope everyone is having a GREAT New Year! The first week is almost gone already. I am psyched for 2008 though, so many things to be thankful for!
