Twig, Twig, Twig!!!!

Oh Twig, oh how I love the... hahaha....Seriously. I am almost out of it and I need more! :):):) It is by far my favorite line from CHA. You have to try the acetate woodgrain tape!!! swoooon....

First up is my layout for ScrapAttack Scrapbooking's monthly contest where LYB is the sponsor. All the patterned paper and embellishments are from the Twig Line (except AC alphas) and the the cardstock base is Core'dinations. The action on the photo is Sunkist from the CoffeeShop blog.

See that embossed polka dot under the photos? That is some of the packaging that I inked slightly.
Canvas tags = ellen happy.

And here are the awesome acetate stickers!!!!!!!!!! BE STILL my heart I love these! They are pre backed so I cut some strips and then ran them through my Cuttlebug :)

Next Up is a layout I did for the LYB sketch challenge. It's a layout about me in 2010...my goals, accomplishments...feelings...you know...a little recap. Just b/c this paper is blue and green doesn't mean you can't use it for girls ;)

Some Hidden journaling under the photo.....oh and remember that fun flower that I learned how to make last weekend over at Scrap Attack Scrapbooking??? Here is AnoTheR one!!! :):):) I used my Glue Arts Square adhesives. I just love that they are so sticky and flat...that way they don't make your projects all bulky.

And the sketch had this fun banner in the corner so I did something a bit different with it....

All Adhesives are Glue Arts.

Happy Weekend!

Wow...last week really got away from me!

Check out the Scrapbook Trends and Cards gallery here. :):):) This card was one that I created for a challenge over at ScrapAttack Scrapbooking for the crop last weekend.

I used the NEW Little Yellow Bicycle Twig Line! I am in love love love with it. The colors are gorgeous and LYB always has the best and most complete lines out there. The fabric tags...feathers...gorgeous! So the first projects I created with Twig were these cards. The challenge was to cut out a bunch of hearts (I used my Cuttlebug b/c I had some dies that were all different shaped hearts and worked perfectly) and then you punch a hole in the bottom of each one, attach with a brad and then you have these fun flowers.

Then, for the stems, I used a punch and some Prima decorative tape and the embossed it with my Cuttlebug! You know me and my embossing ;) I really like the look of it and tried it with some different tapes and it is way way fun! I have to laugh b/c this tape is like three years old and I finally used it in a decorative fashion.

Cardstock on this card is Whitewash from Core'dinations.

It's a Snow Day!

Edited: I changed my blog header last night using some Echo Park goodies in honour of us getting MORE snow ;)

WAhoo! The great wet kind that you can build a hUgE snowman!!!! So I got my scrap on this weekend. Everyone took a nap here on Saturday so I thought it would be a great time to jump on some challenges over at Scrap Attack Scrapbooking.

Here is a layout I did using the word "love" in the title and/or journaling. Papers, embellies, chipboard numbers are Sassafrass Lass, chipboard hearts are Maya Road using their mist, too, and Cardstock is Core'dinations Core Impressions Cosmo Cricket. Not sure if you can notice but I cut the flower patterned paper in an asymmetrical shape for something different.

I love running outside (not to be confused with the dreaded treadmill, LOL!) And for the "1"...I ran out of chipboard number 1's so I used the negative space from the package and then cut my own ;) and then ran it through the Cuttlebug.

And this paper comes with stitching images so I randomly stitches some of them around the page...

Next up is a card for the Elephant challenge over at the Nook. This little guy makes me smile. I just love this MME Alphabet soup line!

CHA Goodies

Happy Weekend!

Just checking with a layout that I did this week with some fun October Afternoon 5 & Dime goodies that I got at CHA! It's a fun line with some unique colors. I actually used it for a Christmas photo I took of all the cousin's kids with my Nana. Well...see the two kids being bad on the ends? (hence the arrows) Yep, you guessed it....my kids not listening! Of course I got a bunch of grief for it b/c everyone was happy it wasn't their kids being goofy and not listening. So this was the best shot we got of the kids. There is some hidden journaling under the photo that pretty much sums up what I just wrote.

So I just did a fun title and a play on words with the papers. I really would never sell my kids ;)

Besides the OA 5 & Dime papers, I used some Coredinations Jenni Bowlin Core Impressions (the base) and some Core'dinations Gemstone cardstock (layered with the punches).

Punches are Martha Stewart and Kreaxions. Alphas are Pink Paislee and Cosmo Cricket. Arrows from Cricut.

May Arts

I don't know about you guys, but I love May Arts. They are my go to ribbon for most of my projects and I love to find new and creative ways to use it. So when I saw this month's contest, I had to go for it.

AND I just love love big huge ribbon. I have been wanting to try something with the May Arts 2" grossgrain.

So here is what I came up with....So can you tell what the coffee container is??? Haha, I had some fun with it...I hope you like it. It just kinda popped into my head and I ran with it.

I upcycled this fun heart bubble gum container, altered a paper bag and to go coffee container with some May Arts ribbons and Teresa Collins papers and stamps. OH and make sure you check out the sparkley red glitter paper. It's the NEW glimmer silk from Core'dinations. It's aMaZiNg!!!

So first...click here to enter the give-a-way. Just by commenting on your favorite entry, you can win THREE spools of May Arts ribbon! Now, click here to tell them your favorite!!!

Some how my tutorial directions didn't make it to the blog so there they are. I used Glue Arts Pro Glider because it works great on ribbon. 1.) Adhere it with a few strips around the cup up until the last 1/4 inch of the ribbon on either side. 2 & 3) Now, fold back each side with a snippet of glue on both sides. 4.) Now, it needs to fold over so it looks like it's buttoned so add some more adhesive and 5.) fold. Now you can embellish the rest of your project to coordinate. (step 6)

Have a great week!!!!!!!

TWO in a ROW!

Well fall off your horse and call me a monkey. I BLOGGED TWO DAYS IN A ROW! go ellen...go ellen...it's your birthday...not really...

haha..okay..can you tell that i am a bit fried??? well, those of you who know me know that is how i normally am {sigh}

so....guess what???? i have another Papertrey Ink project!!! Note to self: beat down Joyce for enabling me!

Today's challenge is to create a tag with a frame on it. So this is my take......I ordered these spools on ebay over the holidays and i am finally using them! I layered some Creative Imaginations flowers from Creative Cafe and some buttons. Stamps are Papertrey Ink. Oh and the twine is the from the Twinery.

The scale of the tag looks a bit off in this photo, probably because of my perspective. Shooting up was the only way I didn't have any shadows.

Here is a close up...I braided some of the twine....

And then a close up of the frame and stamping. I stamped some of the buttons on a scrap piece of cardstock and then cut them out and layered them with zapdots.

So this week they have some cool challenges going on so make sure you check them out!

Here is my take on today's challenge to use buttons in an innovative way so I used the Jar and Lid die with some Paptertrey Ink buttons.....and stamps :)

Yes, we got snow AGAIN!

Poor owen, he was so upset today because gym gets cancelled when they have a snow delay. The one thing he looks forward to, well that and snack and recess. So I promised him an exclusive game of hairy ball this week. I know that sounds bad, LOL! But I will get photos when we play. They get excited b/c they are allowed to throw a ball in the house (yikes!) but with adult supervision, of course. It's kinda like dodge ball but funner ;)

OH...and before I get started....check this out!!!!! Gel-a-Tins baby! :):):) Yeah for stamping!!! I cannot wait to get started. You may need to click here if you aren't friends with Renee on FB for the previous link {oooops}

So I got a bit scrappy this weekend! I didn't think I would but when I saw this fun Jenni Bowlin core Impression mini's on my desk, I knew I wanted to play with them. They are designed for Cardmakers but you layout gals can use them, too!

So was perfect timing for Zarah's challenges over at the Nook. This first layout is based on one of her sketches.

Here is a close up of the Jenni Bowlin Mini 4x6" Calendar Series in Black Magic.

this next layout is a fun one ;) I used this Jillibean Soup Corrugated alpha sheet as a mask for another layout awhile ago so I thought it would make a fun background. Kraft on Kraft {sigh} I accented my friend, stacy's, name in the patterned paper. The die cuts and buttons are from the new Blossom Soup Line. It is so Spring and fabulous!!! You know how I love my die cuts and journal sprouts :):):):)

AND I love how you can mix and match the Blossom Soup line with the older lines. just makes your stash go that much farther :)

We are almost on time tonight!" Oh, too funny!!! Can you tell I am late a lot???

I can't wait to go again, LOL! Though I did have a sappy moment on the plane on the way home where I shed some tears b/c I missed my boys {shhh...don't tell brain that ;}

And let me say, the people from Core'dinations and Darice that I worked with ARE THE BEST! I mean, great people with HUGE hearts and THEY LOVE CORE! :) The fact I only get to see them a few times a year makes me sad. I can't believe that I get to do what I love and get paid for it. BLESSED.
