Only two more Continental Kits left!

The Paper Passion. Be there or be square.

HURRY AND GET YOURS NOW or you will be VERY, very sad.
Trust me. I have five layouts and two cards so far.....and I got more to go! Continental Breakfast :)
I love the pops of red in this kit....the fun embellies like the arrows...you have to get yours because there aren't many left. Well, TWO to be exact..that's it.
I love love love love love love these brand, new Heidi Swapp papers that I used on this layout.
Laci mixes patterned papers and embellishments so beautifully. Anyone can put an entire line of the same company
together in one kit but mix product like this takes skill, baby!  So I kind of set these up a two layouts that would go next to each other since the papers go so well together. It isn't really a two page  layout....but it's more two pages that will look together :)
So for these super fun and cute envelopes...get out that Cuttlebug (any embossing machine will do) and emboss them. I love to do this, well, I emboss anything! Cardstock...pp...glycine bags...fabric...the kids...LOL! And then I took the white Maya Road from the kit and then ran it over to really make the circles pop.
And I am not sure if these Smash Book journaling cards could be any funner! (Yes, I said that, LOL!)
And who doesn't love Studio Calic rubons?!?!?!?!?!?
{button not from kit}
And another favorite thing of mine to do is to put stickers on wax paper and then run them through my Cuttlebug, too!  I did that here with the Studio Calico stickers and then sanded them a bit.

Momenta & Sweet Stamp Shop

Momenta Week over at Sweet Stamp Shop!

Check out the blog for chances to win HERE and HERE!

This is the first time I used Momenta goodies and I love the texture of the paper and all the fun stickers!  I used a sticker directly on my photo since they were clear.

And the across the miles set is going to get a work out in my SSS stamp collection. I looove it. I used a heart in  Arkansas because that is where we were :)  And then on my big stamp block, I rotated a sentiment and one of the cute little doodle shapes.

The black base is Core'dinations Black Magic and I scored the bottom like a street :) Thought that was clever, LOL!

and how cute is this little clear train embellishment????

Masking with Ribbon

Good Morning!

Happy Wednesday!  I am here today with a post from over at May Arts.

It is quite a simple technique but I used a large sponge that you can get at any craft store and inks. This way, the ribbon doesn't get saturated like it does with mists. And, sometimes I find masking with mists isn't as exact as with a sponge...you have more control if  that makes any sense.

I used loads of Core'dinations on here. Tim Holtz Kraft Core and Tim Holtz Adirondack colors.
And I used May Arts Burlap string and May Arts Webbed Weaved Ribbon. It's much sturdier than lace.

This is one of my favorite photos. This is Max on the couch with me while I work from home. He keeps me company and just looks out the window. So sweet.

Have a GREAT day!

The Paper Passion

TWO posts in one day?
Yep..that' me a bloggin' fool!
Scroll down to see my other post :)

I am super duper excited to share with you a layout I created with this month's kit from The Paper Passion. If you know me...you know I LOVE BREAKFAST! And this kit is called Continental Breakfast. Yup..it's delicious :) We went to Arkansas over Easter and this photo is of the boys passed out from a crazy day of fishing and Rugby watching.  These Documentary papers are just perfect!

One of the reasons I love this kit so much is because I love the person that put it together ;)  Laci has created a beautiful forum and wonderful shop that is full of awesome products and just a great place to hang.
I'll be back with more sooooooooooooooooon.

So here is my first (of many from this  jam packed kit)
I got the punches out for this guy...and I used the super fun Maya Road ink pad in White Cloud on the edges...I thought it really showed off the cool texture of the cardstock.

I embossed some of the punched circles. And these Sassafrass Lass sticker letters in the red/orange glitter are fun!  P.S. I added some twine from my stash everything else is from the kit.

Lawn Fun

So I love love lawn ornaments. I can't help it ..from gnomes to crazy metal birds...I would fill my lawn and garden with them if I could. But I don't want to look too trashy, LOL!

I decided to document a few of my faves from last year. I am getting quite the collection..so much that I can rotate them now!  And that makes  me happy.  I thought taking a photo of this layout outside with them was only appropriate.

{Please click on images to make them larger}
I was inspired by a challenge over at the Cocoa Daisy crop for this layout...to use These are a Few of My Favorite things (the song) as inspo. Of course I picked some of my favorite things my lawn friends and CORE TAGS!  And added some rain drops and copper letters (for bright copper kettles).

I used the little "beeeeee happy" sentiment from the Happy Bugs set. And I used the fun doodle frames to accent my title from the Alpha Doodles set. And of course some twine from Trendy Twine.

Here are the sets I used:
