Creative Cuts and More and Caardvarcks Blog Hop and Core....

Could I get anymore C's in that title, LOL!?

I hope ya'll are ready for the big day on Sunday! I know we have been gearing up for this for awhile now....ready for some serious Holiday inspo? Well make sure you come back here Sunday ;) We are going to be doin' it right!

Here a few sneaks of some goodies i made with my die-cuts from Creative Cuts & More. I also whipped out my Christmas stamps from myStampBOX! So get ready for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday!! We are ready to go and so are the girls from Caardvarks!

Here is a layout I did for the Pimp Your Bra crop over at Serendipity Scrapbooks the other week. There is still a few days to order your Bra mini chipboard album...remember...it's exclusive so once they are gone...they're gone. My challenge was based on the extraordinary Dr. Maya Angelou so the poem I have on there is Phenomenal Woman and the layout is about celebrating ourselves. And she has 30 honorary doctorates so I included that you needed to have at least 30 buttons.

I loaded it with some fun buttons, a myStampBOX date stamp and some Core'dinations. I am in LOVE with grey! it's the new black for me...even got some grey nail polish!!

the last week of october...

can you believe it? this is one of my fave months of the year and i feel like i have missed it ;(
things have been so crazy but i am discharging a few clients this week so things will slow down for me a bit which is good. i know i have been a bad blogger when it comes to visiting and i promise to change that this week!

Here are a few lo's i did for some crops the other weekend at Serendipity Scrapbooks and A Million Memories...

This is my very good friend, Beth...her brother and brian are best friends and we hit it off and are mad friends. we love texting each other with fun inside jokes...she has a sick sense of humour like me ;) and just moved to NC which makes me sad but when you are young and free you gotta do that kinda fun stuff. i know i am glad that i got to do all of that...so this lo is about hoping we stay friends...

And...if you haven't seen Darcie's papers and products before you gotta get some here...

I used Chocolate Box from Core'dinations {this is my fave line of theirs for sure} So when you and the brown, the color core comes through and how fun is pink and brown????

and this layout is when owen and brian went flying with our friends...owen actually held the controls! i sanded the swirls from the plane through the Chocolate Box Core'dinations. seriously...if you have gotten some Core'dinations Color Cardstock yet, you better! click here to check out my fave place to buy it ;) okay...okay...Serendipity Scrapbooks!

Love this plane from Studio Calico and I added some Collage Press goodies.

baaaad blogger syndrome...

yes, i have bad blogger syndrome...i just needed a break this week. the weather has been gorgeous here so i have been taking the kids outside as much as we can {we are having ladybug infestation right now, bleh} and i have been working alot. i have a few clients i am losing at the end of the next two months so that will free up quite a bit of time for me. yes!

Creative Cuts & More is sponsoring 2sketches4you so you have to run over there and check out the card kit you can win!

I used the mug card found here. I used this awesome technique that Liz showed us over at Serendipity Scrapbooks for the foam. You could use it as icing, snow...whatever! oh...it's called Faux Frosting. I added some Core'dinations and Jillibean Soup goodies and a fun quote i googled.

here is a close-up...i used my NEW Shimmerz on the frosting to give it a bit of sparkle ;)

and don't forget to mark your calendars for this ...it's gonna be a BLAST!

Creative Cuts and More Blog Hop

Welcome to the October Creative Cuts and more blog hop! Aren't these fun?! If you are hopping than you made your way here via Lindsay's blog. Didn't you just love her projects? If you didn't arrive here from the Creative Cuts and More Blog Hop you may want to start there because that is where the directions are posted to win the Fall All Occasions Card Kit.

I want to remind you to check out the store and the Killer Red Tacky Tape. It is the bomb when it comes to putting die-cut boxes together. I don't know about you but I don't have time to sit there and hold it together until it dries. Also, just enter the coupon code octbloghop1509 to receive15% off your order {good for one week}!

Make sure you head over to Chris's blog when you are done here for some more AMAZING inspiration! And if you get lost along the way click here to go to the Diecut Diva blog.

I used the card portfolio for my first project and the football die-cuts. If you have a football player in your family you have to get these!!! They are PERFECT! and you can run them through your Cuttlebug too....I used pop-up dots to accent the one in the middle.

I added some MyStampBOX Just Add Notes stamps on here too for the journal stamp and note stamp inside.

The is portfolio will hold six cards and envelopes but I chose to use it for photos.

For my next project, I used the pumpkin die-cuts for a mask and then accented the one in the middle with some pop-up dots.

And lastly, I used the short kraft puff box for this project...I put some dried marigold seeds inside for a gift for my friend. We love to garden ;) And some more MyStampBOX Funky Flower stamps.

Thanks for stopping by!!!

It's a hump day....

Just a quikie post for today....

I am so psyched...got a call for March Cards for one of my St Patty's cards. That is one of my FAVE holidays to make things for. I love to celebrate it with some green beer, too! WOOT WOOT!

I made this card using TaDa papers, MyStampBox stamps {A Flower For You set} and Core'dinations Color Cardstock. I love how versatile their cs is. This is just the plain white...you don't have to sand it for it to be fabulous...it does beautifully on its own. AND this is one of my first projects for MyStampBOX! yeah!

I used the white rubon on the Core'dinations Color cardstock b/c it has such great texture and then I took my dauber, daubed it in some blue ink and then rubbed it over the tag...this way the white part of the rubon stays white but the cs takes the ink. Then I layered it on the flower with some pop-up dots.

AND check me out here!!!!!!!!!! I am so stoked. I hope you take a moment to check out the site. The vision of this company is so cool. We will be doing a lot of multi-cultural events reaching around the world. I just can't wait. It is so inspiring!

Good Monday Morning!

What a gorgeous weekend!!! Oh man, it felt so good to get outside this weekend and enjoy this awesome fall weather...there is nothing like the Northeast during fall...amazing. There is a huge craft festival here and a few of us went and got some goodies, nothing major just some dried flowers and I had to get some of my fave cream of crab soup....YUM!

I was surfing the internet this morning in search of the best Star Wars costume for owen this year. Since I am such a huge fan of Star Wars, it gets me totally excited for Halloween! Here is layout from last year with owen in his Optimus Prime costume using my kit from Serendipity Scrapbooks. Remember...precrop challenges for our Pimp Your Bra crop are up!

This bat is a wooden embellishment {you get 3 in the kit} and I covered it in Doodlebug Crushed Velvet {it took a few layers} and then added the googley eyes.

And I have some exciting news!!! I won the monthly contest over at TaDa! I am so excited...I used MyStampBOX stamps on it and thought these fun oval shapes would make a cute flower. They sent me a really cool card kit so make sure you check out their contest for October using circles.

Happy Weekend!

yeah for the weekend, right?

well, i work tomorrow and from 2-9 today so booooo! jk ;) I get to be home during the day with henry and we are scrapping so that is a plus.

speaking of "boo"...

here are some more projects from my Serendipity Scrapbooks Kit this month. click here to check it out! I keep tellin' you guys how awesome Kristen's kits are!!! I loooove how she mixes papers and product. For me, I can buy the same line of paper and embellies on my own, I love it when some mixes coordinating product for me. Makes it sooooooo easy!

Don't forget that our Pimp Your Bra Crop is next weekend and precrop challenges are getting loaded today in the forum. If you look to the right of my blog, you will see a blinkie there...just clikc on it to donate and win stuff! LOTS of STUFF from fab manufactures. BUT this is not a requirement to join the crop.

so here is henry in all his masked glory. {sigh} he loves this mask from owen's Incredibles mask...he wears it all day long {that or his orange sunglasses} and this particular morning...he wore it with his diaper and wouldn't let me dress him. he was cutting some teeth so he is a big, well, slobbery. whenever he dresses up like this, brain tells him, "you're a beauty"...so i thought a play on words for this would be perfect.

And from the same kit, I used the Pink Paislee canvas tags to make treat bags. I ran my Core'dinations through my cuttelbug and then sprayed it with Glimmer Mist and rolled it a bit so it would curve like a bag. Then I just sewed them together and using my leather needle, i ran the hemp for a handle.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE!

Cuttlebug Weekly Challenge and Some Blogger Awards

Just wanted to share a card for the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog Be Inspired challenge. We got to use the wonderful digi stamps from Digital Designs. Since I don't have copics and am not a watercolor kinda stamping kinda girl, I printed out the stamp on a scrap paper and then cut it apart. Then I traced bits and pieces of the stamp on Core'dinations and some Dream Street new Spooktacular Halloween paper and added them to the stamp I printed out on cardstock {the grass and outline of the tombstone}. Then i added some googley eyes b/c i love them ;) Using your scoring tools on the black magic Core'dinations is the bomb! That is how i created this super easy border around the card to let the orange show through. { i think i need a better closeup}

Then i used that same yummy Dream Street paper for the inside of the card with the Digi Stamp Halloween sentiment!

I just want to give a quick "shout out" to Citrus Tree Studios. They are having a dt call there, i would highly recommend it. the kits are GORGEOUS! unfortunately since we are on a budget these days i haven't been able to splurge on one but it is the first place i am when i can!

Here is a wall hanging i did with the Serendipity Scrapbooks Just Enough Kit. How flippin' COOL is it that kristen put guaze in the kit???????? AND these COOL foam houses?????? sorry, the googley eyes don't come with the kit, that is just my weird obsession with them.

Chris AND Julie gave me this cool blogger award! thanks guys ;)

So I have to list 10 honest things about myself...

1. i am not always honest. BAWAHAHAAWA! now let me clarify that...i am not always honest with myself about things such as the need to slow down, say no, things of that nature....

2. i am really really really really really really really bad at paperwork and both of my jobs need me to be good at it.

3. i can't stand smacking noises. smacking when you eat goes through me and when i hear that smacking noise of kissing on tv i have to change the channel!

4.i wanted to be an art historian and run a museum one day but i chose to move to colorado with my boyfriend and " be free" and then i just never followed that dream

5. i struggle with my faith everyday. i know a lot of people that i met online always seem so sure in this area but my faith isn't like that.

6. i never wanted to have kids. let me rephrase that...i never saw myself as a mom, in a house, cooking, with dogs and a husband... i wanted to live in NYC in a loft and just do my own thing but i met brian and he changed all that for me. now, i can't imagine not having them in my life and cherish every day with them.

7. i love my friends and think spending time with them is just as important as spending time with my family. i never understood how some people never have friends they hang out with.

8. i could eat pizza for every meal of every day.

9. i love sports and desperately want season tickets to the Phillies one day!

10. last but not least, i am a wino. i love to have a class of shiraz or cabernet when i come home from work and sit down to relax and do homework with owen.

okay here are my 9 fan-tabulos ladies!

HE. So I say, "Happy HE!" go figure. now, for the record...Brian wants to call it he day. and i say. negativo.

BUT....{that was my sidebar}!

guess what today is??????????????????????????????????????

the official announcement over at myStampBOX! WOOT WOOT!

Here is a layout that I did with some of their stamps that I won over the NSD weekend...ever since then...I have been HOOKED! and they have the coolest storage! check it out here.
SO easy...flip them back and that's it!

On this layout, I stamped the flowers in red on patterned paper and then cut them out...then I layered them and used some hemp {sigh...love hemp} as the stems. click here for the set. i also used some Jillibean Soup on here....this is the perfect time of year for soup.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! make sure you head over to the myStampBOX blog for this: YOU CAN WIN AN AWESOME PRIZE! you gotta start at the beginning for the sentence!

AND! i have a goodie from Serendipity Scrapbooks, too. October kits are UP and they ROCK! Pink Paislee, Dream Street, Kaiser Craft and MORE! I used Dream Street papers on here and I spayied the Pumpkin with Maya Road Mist and then with Glimmer Mist.
