Happy Friday!

It could not be more gorgeous today! I woke up to an amazing breeze coming in the window and Brian let me sleep until 9 o'clock! I haven't been falling asleep this week so sleeping was nice. For some reason I can't shut my brain off at night.

First off I want to mention some give-a-ways going on. myStampBOX has their May give-a-way posted here {cuuuute spring stamps} and the Every Day Cricut Blog has a give-a-way going on right now, too.

And a few days ago I did a little give-a-way myself. Thank you to those of you are following the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog!!! You will not be disappointed ;) My random winner is........................
APRIL! shoot me an email at esosnosk@gmail.com with your address info.

Speaking of my Cuttlebug....I used it on this layout. I free handed this vase and embossed it with the Victoria plate 37-1916. All the goodies on this layout came from the Serendipity Scrapbooks May kit...it's gorgeous! How much do you love that gemstone cardstock from Core'dinations? Oh and I used my Morrocan folder 37-1909 on the scalloped circle that I cut out using some Spellbinders dies and my Cuttlebug.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE!!!!!!!

LYB in the House!

Did you see? I won't the Little Yellow Bicycle Generation Z contest! I am SO excited! It was a great way to kick off my vacation, too. And it was even better that Lori called me personally. I am always amazed at the designers behind the paper, I think sometimes we just see the final project and forget that there is a person behind it, that created it and that it means something to them to see what other people create with it. I bet that would be cool. But since I have zero graphic design abilities, I will stick with just buying and using it on my projects ;)

I know I have said this before but I love love love gray. I wanted to paint our bedroom gray but Brian refused! And he normally lets me do whatever I want, LOL! Gray is my new black so when I saw this line with the rust and teal accents I fell in love with it. And Kristen was the master behind the kit so make sure you get yours here at Serendipity Scrapbooks.

Here is the mini album I made for the contest. It is about Owen's wrestling this year. I got some shots from a few of the tournaments and these papers just screamed make me a wrestling album! Besides the LYB Generaztion Z papers, I used Core'dinations Cardstock, MLS letters, pretty much all the goodies from the kit and Helmar 450 Quick dry adhesive and Zap dots. {the Quick dry is aWeSoMe on acetate}.

One of the reasons I like this line, too was that the papers had all these great words on them for me to cut out! You know how I love to cut...so I sat down and cut all the words and sayings I liked first and then used them in the ablum.

Some Cuttlebug embossing on here....

The papers from the LYB Gen Z line are perfect for journaling. I am not sure if you know anything about wrestling but it is intense and these kids are young. 5-6-7 years old and going out there, all alone, on a mat in front of 100's of people! are you kidding? I was nervous enough on a field with 10 other players, LOL! So it just amazes me what these kids can do, win or lose. And I hope that Wrestling and sports in general teaches owen the things it taught me about being part of a team and the competitive spirit.

I used the Acetate sheets as additional pages by cutting them down to match the album.

i LOVE this photo of the dads and coaches on the mat just watching, hoping, holding back...all those things we do when we prepare ourselves to "let go".

I know that was photo heavy so thanks for looking and letting me be excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Afternoon!

Now I know why I schedule my posts b/c I am always running late ;) I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend....we did. The sun was out! YEAH! And it is gorgeous again today. It was great taking one of the kids I work with to the park, he just ran and ran and was so happy to be outside.

Here are a few more goodies from the Serendipity Scrapbooks March kit. The main kit is sold out but there are some mini kits available! AND the exclusive Rooftop Garden collection is still available, too {not to many though}

Have you ever heard of the story of the turtle and hippo that became best friends? owen and mzee? it is such a cute story and my good friend got us this book when owen was little and he loooved it. Well, i spelled mazee's name wrong in the layout, LOL! it is supposed to be mzee but that is okay...we pronounce it "may-zee" here b/c that was easy for owen to say....anyway...henry got this cute little wooden hippo for his birthday this year and we named it mazee and this is the layout of him and my mom walking him around and around and around and around the house! do you see Grover getting a ride on there? ;)

the background paper is from the Rooftop Garden collection {gorgeous!}

some Shimmerz [comes in kit] on the letters...

and these FUN mosaic tiles came in the kit, too! And some Core'dinations ;)

And here is a layout of brain! isn't he cute? he is soooo skinny! 40 lbs and he looks smokin' ;) I used Core'dinations chocolate box on here..sand it and the green comes through! love it.

Again, some Shimmerz on the edges of the canvas tag...

Serendipity Scrapbooks Altered kit = Gorgeous!

Have you seen this? It's not just about a give-a-way, but a little girl and wife who lost their dad. I can't even imagine one day, you wake up thinking that today is going to be like any other day and than bam, something like this happens....so...for a couple bucks I think I can do something.

Serendipity Scrapbooks December kits are GORGEOUS! wowowowowowow...you better run your but over there and get one....two of them are packed with Webster's goodies and the altered kit {the one featured here} has loads of Bella Boulevard December Details, Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses and this cool LYB present album. It's RED! How cool is that?

Instead of making mine an album, I did a wall hanging. I lined up the pages of the album and tied the together with some hemp.

Here is what it looks like laid out and ready to go...unfortunately I don't have my decorations up yet so this isn't on my wall yet. But it will this weekend! I used my fave pics from last year.

and then a close up......................

For this layout, I did some embossing with my Core'dinations Color Cardstock and I used the string of lights from the BG chipboard pieces for the antlers.

This is my sister and owen be funny. They cracked me up, my mom had to yell at them to stop so we could keep opening presents!

I am such a dork, LOL!

so...it's 4:20 am here and i can't sleep. i have been up since 2 and took more benadryl but still, alas, i am awake.

Why benadryl, you ask? that would be b/c my right eye is completely swollen shut from poison ivy. i bet all you east coasters know what i mean about this stuff...and i get it bad...i must have run into it this weekend {where i still have no idea} and spread it all over...my foot, ankle, leg, back of my thigh {this feels great when you sit}, all over my neck, ear and eyes...my eye is getting worse instead of getting better but at least my left eye is pretty much back to normal b/c i got some prednazone {sp?} today.

the bummer is, i can't even scrap! booooooooooooo! i tried to read tonight but it hard too so tv is my only other option and i am spent on that already.

so anywho...have your laugh...have your chuckle at my expense it is quite funny, actually!

i wanted to leave you with a layout and card from the Serendipity Scrapbooks Altered kit for September...it is loaded with Dream Street Sam papers and My Mind's Eye goodies and i just love these wooden brads from Chatterbox, they take Glimmer Mist really well. Oh, and i added a My StampBox stamp. I found this company over NSD weekend this year and have quite a few of their stamp sets {Glimmer Mist and stamps not in kit}. I used the Prima packaging from the flowers we got in the kit for the mask.

don't forget to go over to the Cuttlebug Challenge blog and leave comments! even if you don't do the challenge, you can still win from commets!

And i would be remiss if i didn't add something about today. i have been watching memorials all morning long, remember those who lost their lives this day September 11th, i am wishing their families peace, though i cannot imagine that kind of grief. cheers to all of our soldiers that defend this country everyday!

Some scrappy stuff...

so how is everyone's weekend going so far? these past few weeks have been crazy busy but i thrive off of it for some reason.

i have actually scrapped a lot despite working more hours and owen having football and school starting...i don't know how but i have, LOL! i think it is b/c i make time for it, kwim? i schedule it in my day just like i do my job and it works...even if i don't have any mojo there is always cleaning my room up, LOL!

i got to do my first blog post/tutorial over at the Cuttlebug Challenge blog! this is what i made so if you are curious, click here. And of course i had to use some Core'dinations ;0

i also did a tutorial over at Serendipity Scrapbooks for some Webster's Pages trim. they have THE best trim! i just love it and i made this flower when i had my guest spot there and i got a lot of questions on how i did it, so i made one with pom pom trim.

i like the one with the brown, satin trim much better but you get the idea. plus if you are like me, than you have a TON of pompom trim lying around! LOL! i should have started it up a bit more so it was centered better but once you start, you can't stop on this b/c of the adhesive.
