Get Well Soon Card with Websters and Core

Happy Thursday!
Super excited to have a long weekend. I got my craft on yesterday and came across a challenge over at Simon Says Stamps and thought I would give it a go.

We had a friend recently have surgery while battling cancer so thought this would cheer him up.  And going through some of my Websters stash was fun, too!  The card base is a smooth Kraft card from the David Tutera Celebrate cardmaking system in A7 and the burnt orange is Tim Holtz Core'dinations Cardstock

Sweet Stamp Shop and Websters

Happy Friday Everyone!
Today I have a layout to share with you using some Sweet Stamp Shop stamps. I used the Sweet Victoria stamp set on this layout. Patterned paper is mostly Websters and a few scraps from my stash.  As you know, I just love my Websters goodies!!!!!

{Remember to click on the images to see them larger}

I used the smaller circles and added the pretty rosette stamp and then stitched.
Then, under the "DATE" I stamped the half frame. Again, makes it almost look  like
part of the patterned paper.

And here is a photo of the stamp set. So PRETTY! And perfect for any occasion.

Webster's Love

I don't know if you saw this but Webster's is having a Clean and Simple DT call. Details are here. If you are like me and love Webster's but use their products in a more simple fashion than you need to apply. Brandin is one of the nicest people I have ever met, it's family owned business and their products knock my socks off ;)  They are beyond generous and foster a fun loving atmosphere.

So I have been nursing a really bad cold for over a month now. I am on my second sinus infection, second round of antibiotics and can't kick this cough from my bronchitis. So besides work, there isn't much for me to do but rest. That gets old so I scrap.

I got some goodies from the last release and here is what I created.
Remember to click on the images to make them larger.

I got this ampersand stamp from Stampin' Up! YEARS ago so I busted it out for this mask....the balloon is a Webster's stamp, too.  Rain drops are with my Irock.

This one is for the December Challenge. I added some Vintage Cardstock from Core to this...the colors match perfectly!

And here is Brain posing in Brussels. Love this big red door. We had a fun photo shoot here.

And a card . I love me some cards!!!

Happy Labor Day Monday!

I have to laugh at myself b/c I am still getting used to the new look of my blog every time I come here. I am not sure if anyone noticed before that my old header still said 2009! Notice this header is neutral so I don't have to change it next year if I don't want to or find time to is more like it!

Here is a layout I did for Webster's Pages September Guest Designer inspiration. We got to browse Christine Middlecamp's blog for inspiration, which of course is not hard! I love how she layers and layers her embellishments so that is what I tried to achieve in this layout. Everything is Webster's except the metal frame & tag (Tim Holtz).

These tiny rosettes were so easy! I used my scraps from the bloomers (when you cut them down sometimes there are pieces of fabric left over) so I just tied them in loose knots. Then, I took my Shimmerz spritz and took the top out of the bottle and just let some drip right on the fabric. I realized after I glued them to the paper I wanted them to be shimmery and I didn't want to spray the entire page.

Happy Fourth of July!

I have made a pact with myself to make sure I cherish what it means to be free more than just this weekend and I hope you do, too. It is also a reminder of the brave men and women who give us that right every day. THANK YOU!

Here is a card to celebrate this wonderful weekend. I used some of my Webster's Pages scraps for the stars and border along the bottom. I save every piece of it :) This week I am posting the Card a Day challenges this week so head over to the FTLOA forum to check them out. This card is today's challenge...Patriotic Cards :)

Scenic Route has the best chipboard shapes and I stocked up on them. These stars are actually from the remaining piece (I used all the stars on this sheet). I figured it would make a cool mask for something.

Lots of Glimmer Mists....Blues, a touch of red and some Wheatfields.

It's Friday!

WOOT WOOT!

Can't wait to see the scrubster tonight. The weeks are long without him and the pool at MIL's is calling...scratch that...screaming my name! AND today I am headed to joyce's to meet her and andrea to scrap. My day last friday got cut short b/c henry had a 103 degree fever so I had to get him at daycare. My LBD kit came and I am going to work on that....yipeee!

Just so you know..this was supposed to be posted yesterday but I ran out the door thinking I scheduled it, LOL...so let's talk about Saturday :) So......

The scrubster and I had a nice night last night ;). I have to work today for a few hours and then we are heading over to MILs to swim and grill ALL day :) Can't wait to work on my tan.

There is a FUN FUN contest going on over at FTLOA this month and you have a few more days to get your entries in. There is a fun sketch to work with and it is being hosted by SRM! I love the stickers and use them often on my layouts. Here is my take on the sketch...I used lots of Webster's Garden Gala, an SRM sticker down there at the bottom, and a cluster of myStampBOX stamps, too.

I ran the banner from the PP {cut it out first} through my Cuttlebug:

Here is the cluster of myStampBOX stamps:

And I used some Diamond glaze on here for the water in the bird bath:

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Sun Fun!

Happy Friday! It is fishing Derby time here in our town so Owen is super psyched to get his hands on a fish. He loooves fishing. It amazes me how he concentrates when he is doing it, I wish he would concentrate like that when his teacher tells him to stop talking!!!! {sigh}

This is him last year when he caught the biggest fish and one a huge trophy! I was in the bathroom {located right next to the door that goes to the garage} and he and his pappy came barging in to show me the fish! It was priceless. Owen man-handled that fish and he wouldn't put it back on the ice, poor thing. It was a good lesson though on how we only catch what we eat. Guess who likes fish now? ;)

Oh and make sure you head over to Pagemaps!!! Websters teamed up with Becky Fleck this month and it was sooooooooooooooooooooooooo much fun! Click here for the June Newsletter.

Speaking of summer and fishing and all things warm and fun...here is layout using some Webster's Pages papers and myStampBOX stamps. You don't have to do a lot with this paper...just add your own little touches here and there.

I just looooooooove these fabric strips from Websters! I used this one just like I would trim.

Note the myStampBOX arrow that I added on the paper...just because it already has a pattern won't stop me! LOL! I cut out the title from my Cricut and then ran it through the Cuttlebug.

It's Trolley Time

Don't you just love a trolley? When we were in Arkansas we got a great photo of one. Uncle Dave shot this one probably because I was too busy shopping and always missed it driving by, LOL! They also remind me of Mr Rogers and I watched that show 24/7

Little Rock was such a fun town..so glad we got to go there. I love how quaint and clean it was, too. There were some really cool restaurants and bars, too, that opened right onto the street. I used lots of Crate Paper goodies on here and some Kaisercraft Papers. I mounted the photo ( I noticed I do this a lot) on some Core'dinations Gemstone cardstock. I am not bling girl but this stuff is FAB! This is just a simple page with some clean lines...gotta let this fun patterned paper shine ;)

Hello Lovely little bloomer! I {heart} you. You get a whole strip of them in the kit!

I layered the alphas and Crate Paper Chipboard here and I colored in the rubon with some Prisma Pencil Crayons.

Welp, Monday almost got away from me but...

I am posting, finally! Hope everyone had a great weekend. The wind has been crazy around here. I spent the day in the yard Saturday but had to call it short b/c of my seeds blowing all over the place. That's okay, though.,,,Brain bought me my favorite case of beer, Stella Artois, for mother's day, LOL! I asked him if was for me or him and he just winked ;) That's my man! Beer and an unlimited amount of love for the rest of my life {sigh}

When I saw the challenge over at SRM, I immediately got to work. I have been wanting to do their monthly challenge and when I saw celebrate life theme, I got to work. This is what happened....I wanted colour and texture and that equals Websters & Core with a touch of my SRM sticker stash.

P.S. check out the Crate Paper blog...you gotta scroll down but you will see some of my goodies from the Serendipity Scrapbooks kit.

Here is a detail. I love how can't even tell that is a sticker!

And some added touches on the inside...

Only 5ish more days left

of February....man on man...if it wasn't for henry's birthday and shamrock shakes, I am not sure how I would have made it this long....

right now I am battling a major case of pink eye...it is NASTY, LOL....but I just have to laugh at myself for being such a goof and getting this kind of stuff. i mean, my eye is pasted shut and leaking gross...hahahaha

And...speaking of being a goof.....GUESS WHAT'S BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! give me back that filet-o-fish...give me that fish...give me back that filet-o-fish...give me that fish... if it you were hanging up on this wall...if it were you in that sandwich you wouldn't be laughing at alll!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay...on a serious note...............here is my Cuttlebug Be Inspired #72 Project for a Wall Hanging. I used the NEW {happy dance} Webster's Lullaby Lane papers on here!!! I actually used the 6x6 paper pad and sewed them together to mimic a quilt. This is a 12x12 piece of cork and I though it would make a great wall hanging for a nursery to document all the fun little things we see every day with our little ones. The heart is one of the 6x6 diecuts and they are AMAZING!!!!

The journal cards come pre-scripted with things to document....

Some embossing with my Moraccon folder {my fave, LOL!}

And on here, I made a little booklet with the journal cards and a tag from my stash. I ran the tag through my Cuttlebug and then sprayed all sorts of Glimmer Mist on it.

Some more Glimmer Mist goodies from Tattered Angels {swoooooooon!} And I ran the Webster's journal spot through the Cuttlebug, too. I love love love to emboss patterned paper.
