It's Banner Time!

Yes, the banner craze has hit the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog for the Be Inspired challenge #85.

Here is my interpretation of this week's challenge:

I used lots of Webster's papers and Core'dinations....

Here is a close up of the banner...I used three different embossing folders:

That fun post it note print out is from Audrey Neal...I looove these and forgot I had a whole bunch of them printed out....

And I used a Webster's Sparkler as my fastener. I turned it upside down and adhered it with a Zap Dot from Helmar.

PHEW!

Oh my word! The last time I posted was May 19th? I guess I jinxed myself when I said that I like to post 3 days a week on Monday, Wednes, and Friday, LOL!

I wanted to share with you a fun blog swap going on right now with Core'dinations and Imaginisce, two awesome companies! We had so much fun over at Core working with the Live Loud and Lucy Bird collections.

So make sure you work you way over to the Core blog and the Imaginisce blog for some give-a-ways and some awesome inspiration!!!

Here is a layout I did featuring Core'dinations and Live Loud collection. I embossed my Core with my Cuttlebug and the Forest Branches folder 37-1612 and then printed directly on it. Just because it is textured, doesn't mean you can print and use it for journaling. Then I embossed some vertical lines using my stylus and ruler.
I just love this photo of Henry celebrating.

I used my Cricut to cut the title. I cut it with two different patterned papers and then layered them. And the photo is matted with some Gemstones Cardstock from Core. LOVE this stuff!

thanks and see you tomorrow!

Gesso Galore!

Gosh, I am not even sure when I bought this gesso by Claudine Helmouth but I need to play with it more! It is a lot of fun and I know people out there love texture as much as I do...so check out this stuff if you get the chance.

A few posts ago, I posted this mini album using LYB papers and a Kaisercraft Mini album. Well, at that time I didn't need the last page. When I looked at it, I realized I could make a fun wall hanging out of it. Why waste it? It was perfect for a wall hanging for the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog #84! I used the A2 Friend embossing folder 37-1132 and cut out the individual words and sanded them {core'dinations cardstock}. The holes along the top were perfect to weave the LYB Generation Z ribbon.

Here it is blank:

Now with some Ghesso, paint, paper and a cutie named Henry ;)

Here is a close-up of the chipboard letters. I used some Helmar Crackle paint on these...

Make sure you check out the Kiki Blog this week for a fun little survey and keep checking back! Kiki is so super generous! hint ;) hint ;) hint:)

Rainy Days and Mondays always get me down....

Anyone else love the Carpenters? Well, it's Tuesday and it's rainy and I feel like staying curled up on my couch but that won't get anything done, will it?

Yesterday got away from me. I am a Monday, Wednesday, Friday kinda blog poster ;) So here is yesterday's post, LOL!

Core'dinations released a TON of new product at winter CHA and this layout uses one of them. It's called the Onyx collection. The collection consists of all cardstock that is in the white, grey, and black hues AND it is textured. The sheet I used on my base is all white with a black core...so I sanded the stars very lightly to let that cool core come through. Since I got two sheets of it, I cut out the starts from one of the sheets and layered them {see the close up below}. I used a 5x7 photo on here of owen riding his new four wheeler. He worked really hard to earn it!

I used my Cricut to cut the words and then ran them through my Cuttlebug.

Layered stars with Helmar Zapdots for dimension. Ribbon is from LYB Generation Z collection.

It's Trolley Time

Don't you just love a trolley? When we were in Arkansas we got a great photo of one. Uncle Dave shot this one probably because I was too busy shopping and always missed it driving by, LOL! They also remind me of Mr Rogers and I watched that show 24/7

Little Rock was such a fun town..so glad we got to go there. I love how quaint and clean it was, too. There were some really cool restaurants and bars, too, that opened right onto the street. I used lots of Crate Paper goodies on here and some Kaisercraft Papers. I mounted the photo ( I noticed I do this a lot) on some Core'dinations Gemstone cardstock. I am not bling girl but this stuff is FAB! This is just a simple page with some clean lines...gotta let this fun patterned paper shine ;)

Hello Lovely little bloomer! I {heart} you. You get a whole strip of them in the kit!

I layered the alphas and Crate Paper Chipboard here and I colored in the rubon with some Prisma Pencil Crayons.

Welp, Monday almost got away from me but...

I am posting, finally! Hope everyone had a great weekend. The wind has been crazy around here. I spent the day in the yard Saturday but had to call it short b/c of my seeds blowing all over the place. That's okay, though.,,,Brain bought me my favorite case of beer, Stella Artois, for mother's day, LOL! I asked him if was for me or him and he just winked ;) That's my man! Beer and an unlimited amount of love for the rest of my life {sigh}

When I saw the challenge over at SRM, I immediately got to work. I have been wanting to do their monthly challenge and when I saw celebrate life theme, I got to work. This is what happened....I wanted colour and texture and that equals Websters & Core with a touch of my SRM sticker stash.

P.S. check out the Crate Paper blog...you gotta scroll down but you will see some of my goodies from the Serendipity Scrapbooks kit.

Here is a detail. I love how can't even tell that is a sticker!

And some added touches on the inside...

Happy Friday!

It could not be more gorgeous today! I woke up to an amazing breeze coming in the window and Brian let me sleep until 9 o'clock! I haven't been falling asleep this week so sleeping was nice. For some reason I can't shut my brain off at night.

Speaking of my Cuttlebug....I used it on this layout. I free handed this vase and embossed it with the Victoria plate 37-1916. All the goodies on this layout came from the Serendipity Scrapbooks May kit...it's gorgeous! How much do you love that gemstone cardstock from Core'dinations? Oh and I used my Morrocan folder 37-1909 on the scalloped circle that I cut out using some Spellbinders dies and my Cuttlebug.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE!!!!!!!

Cuttlebug Be Inspired Challenge No. 82 AND a Kiki Art Winner!!!

What a CRAZY week! NSD is over, Phillies bus trip is over and I have two give-a-ways to do! So....I will do one today and one friday :) How does that sound?

AND it's Cuttlebug Challenge Blog Be Inspired #82! AND today's theme is.........Mother's day! yeah for all those moms out there...ah, the many hats we wear on a daily basis just amaZes me. Who would have thought that I would have been a mom....it's so crazy. Anywho, that is a whole 'nother subject, LOL!

Here is the Mother's day Card I made for the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog today. All the goodies came from my Serendipity Scrapbooks IDIA kit. It is LOADED with Crate Paper Brook Collection and MME products so grab yours...it is awesome.

You know me and my die-cuts, LOL! I ran these MME stickers through my Cuttlebug. The secret is using wax paper. You put the sticker on a piece of wax paper, run it through and then peel it off. Some of it may stick but nothing that will ruin it. OH! and I added a myStampBOX stamp on there, too. I LOVE this Straightforward stamp set, it has all the sentiments you need. Make sure you check out the mSB site for a give-way and AWESOME inspiration. Seriously...they have such good ideas on their blog. Stamping is NOT boring over there.

I just love the texture on these stickers! And I used some Core'dinations Cardstock and the Note card folder as the background.

AND NOW FOR THE RANDOM WINNER OF MY KIKI ART GIVE-A-WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Favorite cause yet. What did I do for Earth Day? Fifteen years ago I chose to get MARRIED on Earth Day! I never forget how important this is.
