Prima Doodle Deux and Sweet Stamp Shop Stamps!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this kit so much. All the reds and yellows just make me happy. The Prima Doodle Duex is one of my new favorite lines for sure!

I have another layout, too! :)
Remember to click on the images to make them larger.

I cut up the doodle chipboard piece and did some stamping.
See that little "xoxo" I used the Sentimental Birds stamp set and took that cute little
"xoxo" and bent it along my acrylic block to go along with the curves of the chipboard and just repeatedly stamped.

Some more deets...

I used two SSS stamps on this layout and here they are. I LOVE mixing and matching sets.

Hard Core Crop Challenge #9

Are you having fun at our very FIRST Hard Core Crop?!??!!?!?!?

The Master Challenge list is here. And we are chatting away here on Facebook. FUN FUN FUN!

My Challenge is all about Pinterest! If you love it as much as we do then check out our Boards here! We have one board called our Hard Core Projects board and that is where we pin projects from our Hard Core Fans that we LOVE!
AND DON'T FORGET ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY TO GUEST DESIGN FOR CORE!

So, naturally, I went there for my inspiration. I loved this layout from Rebecca Keppel. I have known Rebecca for a few years now. She has such a clean sense of style and, well, she just rocks! Check out her blog HERE for some more awesome projects!!! I love how she used the Core Impressions in the same pattern but different colors. And of course all that Sanding makes a Core girl like me HAPPY!

Here is the piece I lifted:

And Here is my layout. I LOVED the grid-like pattern. I am drawn to cleaner lines
and geometric shapes so you can see why I loved it so much!
Thanks, Rebecca!!!!

Remember to always Scor from the back. I scor'd two lines at 4" and then turned the Cardstock and did it again.

Now turn it over and sand! By scoring from the back, the raised lines are on the front to show off that gorgeous Core!

Next, I took some Glitter Silk, Core Essentials and Vintage cardstock and cut three, 3.5" squares.

Make sure you emboss and distress some! Our Glitter Silk Cardstock looks GORGEOUS embossed!!!!

So...for my challenge...I challenge you to head over to our Pinterest Boards and pick something that inspires you and create! If you don't have Pinterest, feel free to use this layout or head over to our Designer's Galleries and find something to lift.

You must post your challenge entry to the link here. You can do a layout..card...altered project..sky is the limit! Just use some Core'dinations Cardstock and follow the challenge guidelines. HAVE FUN!!!!

And I am giving away this! It is smooth, silky and cuts like butter!
I can't get enough of it!

May Arts Canvas

Happy Weekend Everyone!

Hope it is a good one!
Today I have a project for you using May Arts Woven Burlap and fuzzy Pom Pom trim. I just wanted to create something fun and bright and had this in  my mind for some time.

I also used my Xyron Sticker maker, Core'dinations Cardstock, Sweet Stamp Shop Stamps & Buttons, and Imaginisce i-Rock.

I love altering frames and things like that but making canvases isn't something I normally do but when I saw this May Arts Burlap in all these gorgeous colors...I just new I had to make some kind of rainbow. It really malleable (can you use that word for ribbon? LOL!). I love that it has structure and can do pretty much what you want it to so that is why it curves, like a rainbow, so nicely.

want2scrap & SSS

HI! Hope you are all having a great week. It is HOT here!  So it's only appropriate to share with you this layout of our Chaser drinking at his water bowl. He is so funny. He makes these crazy faces, almost like he is going to say something to you so I had to document it.

I used the Sweet Stamp Shop Buddie Bee stamp. If yo have dogs you NEED this stamp set!
I put a pawprint on the journaling card and I used the smaller paw print along the side of the layout with the sticker phrases. All of these Prima Papers are from the the FTLOA May kit and they have that strip along the bottom. I always cut them off and never use them so this time I did and used them to frame the layout.
That woodgrain paper is from Cosmo Cricket Core Impression...my all time FAVORITE piece of cardstock. Then I just added the want2scrap  heart bling over the photo of Chase.

OH AND PLEASE CHECK OUT THE SWEET STAMP SHOP DT CALL. YOU WILL LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE WORKING WITH NICOLE AND EMILY AND THESE STAMPS!!!

May Arts Design Team Call

Morning!
Not sure you saw the May Arts DT call here. If you didn't you better hurry up and get your application in!!!

Not only is the ribbon just gorgeous...gorgeous....BUT they are so generous and just awesome to work with. If you want to be a part of something amazing...then PLEASE check it out and send in your app NOW!

I really hope to be able to stay on and do videos in a cameo spot.

Today I have some projects for you using May Arts ribbon of all kinds.  The video is about weaving May Arts Twine in the Burlap. Two MUST haves if you love ribbon!

And here is a layout that I created using more May Arts twine and this time I braided them. I cannot get enough  of this twine!!!

Then I used my Tiny Attacher to make keep the ends together. I used Prima Sun Kissed for the patterned papers and letters from the FTLOA store. And the cute little be is a Sweet Stamp Shop stamp and I used my Spectrum Noir Markers.

Next up is a fun card that I created using some May Arts Burlap string and some Lawn Fawn Stamps.
Who knew flocking was so much fun!!!!!

There is a video below showing tips on how to make the flag, do the flocking on the sheep and the grass.

Last but not least.....
I used some May Arts Twine and weaved it in and out of  the May Arts Burlap Ribbon. This stuff is so FUN!!!! It is great for home decor projects but it looks fab on layouts, too!

Here is a close-up...all you need is a large needle (I call them leather needles not sure if that is accurate but they are thicker and heavy duty and they manage the thicker Baker's Twine really well).

Have a good one!

(Click on the images to make them larger)

I know I said this yesterday but I can't seem to put the Black Magic cardstock down!
I crumpled it and then sanded it for the red Core to come through. The die is from Spellbinders and I weaved some May Arts trim in there.

I can't believe these Jillibean Soup tags and bits fit this card so perfectly!
For the edges of the yellow cardstock, I used my Fiskars paper tearer...talk about old school!

This month's sets are so much fun!!!

I used To the Moon on this layout...I used Spectrum Noir Markers for the flames and to do the red along the stamped strip along the bottom and to color in the stars.
I haven't been able to put my Black Magic down yet. I have used it on my last few layouts. It is one of my favorite Core'dinations lines. The rest of the papers are from Momenta from our swap with Sweet Stamp Shop a few weeks ago.

(click on images to make them larger)

And I thought the Handmade with Love set would be fun on the back of the layout to
record the date and my siggy :)

School's Out Layout

Well..technically this layout is about the First Day of school but who's keeping score right?
That is the best thing about this stamp set is that you can use it for any time of the school year!

This is one of my favorite photo shoots with the boys (and I mean that in the most casual way, LOL). Owen's first day of 3rd grade and the fam seeing him off....

I used Core'dinations Cardstock and scor'd and then sanded the corners. The stamps are in the upper left and right corners (music..art...gym and the apples). I had Owen write about his day in the lined paper. All patterned paper is Imaginisce and so are the stickers...I embossed the apple.

Used my Cricut for the large title....

Only two more Continental Kits left!

The Paper Passion. Be there or be square.

HURRY AND GET YOURS NOW or you will be VERY, very sad.
Trust me. I have five layouts and two cards so far.....and I got more to go! Continental Breakfast :)
I love the pops of red in this kit....the fun embellies like the arrows...you have to get yours because there aren't many left. Well, TWO to be exact..that's it.
I love love love love love love these brand, new Heidi Swapp papers that I used on this layout.
Laci mixes patterned papers and embellishments so beautifully. Anyone can put an entire line of the same company
together in one kit but mix product like this takes skill, baby!  So I kind of set these up a two layouts that would go next to each other since the papers go so well together. It isn't really a two page  layout....but it's more two pages that will look together :)
So for these super fun and cute envelopes...get out that Cuttlebug (any embossing machine will do) and emboss them. I love to do this, well, I emboss anything! Cardstock...pp...glycine bags...fabric...the kids...LOL! And then I took the white Maya Road from the kit and then ran it over to really make the circles pop.
And I am not sure if these Smash Book journaling cards could be any funner! (Yes, I said that, LOL!)
And who doesn't love Studio Calic rubons?!?!?!?!?!?
{button not from kit}
And another favorite thing of mine to do is to put stickers on wax paper and then run them through my Cuttlebug, too!  I did that here with the Studio Calico stickers and then sanded them a bit.
