One last Ornament!

I have one last thing to post for christmas, lol...except the 1000 photos i took, lol!

Here is an ornament i made from one of those cones that holds industrial size thread. my grandmother was a seamstress and i got these from her. so it means a lot to me. when i go and see her, she is so confused, i cry in the elevator when i leave. so the last time i saw her, i promised myself i would make something with them.

i used glimmer mist, a pink paislee rubon and transparency. i used my scallop punch and some stitching, too.

Gorgeous ornament Ellen!

Ellen I can totally relate to your feelings with your Grandma. Its so hard to see them so confused it just breaks your heart. I loved spending as much time as possible doing puzzles, playing bingo, painting her nails and playing sequence games with her as I could. I know she might not have known everytime I was there but I do know some of the times she definiately knew I was...and those were the moments when I knew all my time spent with her was worth every minute!
big hugs...

What a wonderful use of some of your Grandma's old treasures! It is so hard to see the ones you love changing, isn't it? {{hugs}}

I am sure she would love that you are making such a beautiful creative use of her things. :)
