May Arts and Graphic 45

Welcome to the May Arts and Graphic45 Blog Hop!
Before I get started, I wanted to let you know that May Arts is beyond generous and you need to head over to their blog for giveaways!!! And  to Graphic45....you don't want to miss what they are giving away, too!
Here is the info you need for today.

Tuesday's Hop:

Prima Ribbonistas:

Graphic 45:

In Case you need yesterday's information...
Prima Ribbonistas:

Graphic 45:

Today I have a layout for you that combines ribbon and paper. I love being able to use the gorgeous ribbons from May Arts just like paper.  I cut the the flags shapes out of patterned papers and then used a 1.5" May Arts ribbon just like a piece of the Graphic45 pp. They have the most gorgeous holiday paper don't you think? Check it out here.

You can't even tell which one is ribbon, they blend so seemlessly. I love that!
{Remember to click on the images to make them larger}

Here is a close up of the two toned 1.5" May Arts Ribbon that I cut just like the pp and Graphic45 Core Impressions. :

Cardstock is Graphic45 Core Impressions and Graphic45 Signature Series. Stamp is Cocoa Daisy exclusive.

And............. next up is the May Arts Suede String. GOSH I love this stuff!!!

I inked mine with some pigment ink. The key is using pigment inks so it absorbs into the suede material. It does need to sit a bit to dry.

With one stroke of the ink, you can completely change the color!

And not sure if you can tell but I ran the Graphic45 metal flower through my Cuttlebug.

 Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!

If you are looking for more giveaways head over to the Core blog for giveaways from now until Christmas!!!

Good Morning!

Wahoo! Blogging on Sunday ;) But I have had a hard time getting my posts done on Friday the past few weeks so technically it is still the weekend. I have to laugh. I am so tired, LOL! Owen has been getting some really good reports from school (he has had some "listening to the teacher" issues) well, since he started school. So his reward was having some friends over last night.

So, needless today it has been over 12 hours of them wrestling, playing wrestling with figurines, dancing to Ke$ha and Taio Cruze, and complaining that Henry is bothering them. We put them to bed at 11ish...so by the time 1 am rolled around and I checked on them for the 3rd time they were asleep. But...every single light was on downstairs and the basement, they got papers out and were drawing, more soda (good thing it was caffeine free) ALL in the last 1/2 hour! So funny. They were really good though.

Oh and guess what else the got into? Yeppers. An ENTIRE bowl of Hershey Miniatures. I had two (of these dark chocolate ones) and Brian said he had a few so they ate all of these last night! LOL, can't say I blame them.

So next up is a layout that I worked on while Joyce and I were scrapping on Friday. I busted out her brand new Martha punch. You know you are friends when you let someone use a brand new just out of the package Martha punch before you get to use it ;)

So I found the Get Picky Challenge blog through Tanya Tahir and I just love it! Inspiration for multi photo layouts and it has really helped me scrap more larger photos on one page. I can do lots of wallets no sweat but I really want to grow in this area and feel as if I have. Here is my layout for this week's challenge. I don't have a lot of romantic-"y" papers b/c that isn't really my style but since they all used Pink Paislee, I ran with that Since I have some Queen Bee that I hoarded from last year. I drew inspiration from their layouts by placing my photo horizontal and making that linear design. Just because you scrap on the simpler side doesn't mean you can use those "froo froo" papers! (that's the technical term, LOL). The cardstock base is Core'dinations Core Impression by Graphic 45.

Color inspiration is from The Color Room, as usual, I missed the cut off but loved this palette so I did I used it for inspo anyway.

Adhesives are from Glue Arts (Glider Pro and Adhesive squares)

First Post of December!!!

First off I have a bunch of announcements. There is SO much going on! I cannot believe all the happenings this month! And that it is the 7th and I am just blogging...jeesh. I don't know how I got so behind.

Today is the Second day of the Graphic 45 and Core'dinations Blog Swap!!! We will have TONS of projects AND give-a-ways on BOTH blogs! Click here to leave a comment to win!!!

Next is the 12 Days of Christmas over at Passionately Artistic. They are giving away tons of goodies over there right now.

AND SAVE THE DATE! Core'dinations is having 12 DAYS of TECHNIQUES featuring tons of goodies from their preferred partners and, yes, you guessed it...TONS of give-a-ways from Sizzix, Tim Holtz, Fiskars, Crafter's Companion and MORE!!!

Now, for today's adventure....Remember all the awesomeness going over at Webster's Pages? The Winter Wonderland event? Well, today Iris and I posted our class. We did a class around setting the table Webster's Style. We used the Waiting for Santa line. And don't forget about the Design Team Call. FIRST EVER at Websters. I cannot say enough about Brandin and the team over there. They are SO generous and nice and it has been such an honor to be part of the team.

Here are a few shots of the place settings, napkin rings and favors. I reused the pillow boxes that the berries and leaves came in! I loooove pillow boxes. I filled mine with netting and other embellishments but you could put whatever you want in them. And if you don't haven the boxes from the berries, you can buy pillow boxes at your local craft store, cut them with your cricut, or use little bags as an alternative. Check out more details and the rules in the forum here. EVERY DT member is giving away a Christmas Paper Collection!!!
