Hi!

so i have been scrapping like crazy. Serendipity's Altered kit is full of LYB Love Notes and Teresa Collins Crush! yeah! so stay tuned for that Sunday...i looove how she mixes papers for you..not just one kit of the same line, kwim?

here are a few things i have been working on. i am at home again with henry, double ear infection. poor kid, things have been crazy 'round here. brian is taking off a day or two next week so i can get caught up at work. he is good like that! and that takes me to what i am thankful for today...i am thankful to have a scrubby that realizes my career is important to me.

i made these, found a template on the internet...stay tuned for my tutorial next week over at Serendipity Scrapbooks. Kristen sent me some GCD papers that i have never seen before called Chianti {ahem, LMBO here b/c that is a fave wine of mine}. so i made these cuties for brian when he goes away on his business trip in a few weeks.




Here is a layout i did for a tut over at SavvyNSassy. It is a ribbon club so i focused my technique on using ribbon like patterned paper. So the polka strips along the bottom are all 1.5" grosgrain ribbon {which happens to be on of my faves ;) } the journaling is tiny but it just talks about how bathtime is like playtime at our house! henry would stay in there forever if we let him, as long as he has a washcloth to suck on. too funny.



oh, and if you know me and my sense of humor {dirty and sarcastic, LMBO!} i have to show you this...my avie for the Superbowl Crop over at Simply Obsessed!

slacker...

yup, that's me! slack city here i come. things have been a bit crazy 'round these parts but that is the way we like it...busy ....busy...busy...

AND to cheer me up, one of my best scrappy buddies and probably one of the first online friends i made, LACI, hooked me up on her bloggity with this! Now i get to update my blog with 5 obsessions of mine. hmmmm....only 5?



And it goes perfectly with a purchase I made this weekend ;)

1.PuRsEs. love 'em. we even have a trendy amy butler diaper bag that brian loves to get stuck carrying. but this is the purse i bought this weekend! jealous, much???

2.SHOES! ahem.

3.slEEp. i am addicted to naps. i love them. i set my cell phone alarm for 15 minutes if i have that time during the day just to "rest".

4.chIps & dIp...YUMMMMMMM...any kind of chip, as long as i have dip to go with it.

5. is it bad to put wine on here?the darker the better but pinot noir is prob. my fave. i love to go to wine festivals and tastings to try new wines. one day i would loooove to have one of those parties where you make certain foods to go with specific wines and have a tasting of your own! one day :)

OH and one last thing....Simply Obsessed...one of my fave places to hang is having a crop this weekend for the SuperBowl! Since my EAGLES won't be in, i am def. on board for some scrapping. i just loooooove their crops!

A few things...

so i don't know what happened to my last post about the Forward Progress prompt? so for those of you who left me comments...thanks! i went in to post today and it stated it was in there as a draft and i know i posted it. i haven't been in blogger since then, well i was in the Forward Progress Blog, maybe i did something..who knows?

that leads me to what i am thankful for....technology..even though it baffles me sometimes and i know it is me making the mistakes, i am still thankful for how it allows me to meet so many wonderful people and stay in touch with those i love and miss.

So has anyone been keeping up w/ the CHA previews? man oh man...great stuff! one of my faves is a new company Bella Blvd... they have such bright, fun colors! I did a layout with their stuff here. Well, here is a link to some new lines coming out for CHA...yummy! so go give them a shout out!

i have some fun news...i got an email for a request for a layout for Memory Makers! woohooo!!!

and Jill, over at JillyBean--a new company with awesome stuff-- sent me some goodies to work with so i dove into those...here are a few sneaks...

Forward Progress Prompt #3

Prompt # 3 is up and ready to go over at the FP blog. It is about what you want. Remember, anything goes!

mine is about wanting people to care about garbage and the earth, pretty much. more specifically, the garbage they throw in the street that ends up in my yard, esp after the snow melts. oh, and have you ever had a cig hit the hood of your car? grrrr....

so that leads me to what i am thankful for...people that care.

Autumn Leaves Cuteworld Collection

My theme this upload over at HSS is Autumn Leaves Cuteworld. I just fell in love with it & went Cuteworld crazy! So I ordered 2 sheets of paper {the star diecut is adorable!}, the epoxy brads and the chipboard diecuts {sooo cute!}. So you could make all three of the projects for $11 and have a TON left over. The cb pack comes with 2 OF EACH shape in 2 DIFFERENT sizes!

Here is a wall hanging I did, recycling one of henry's tags from some clothing and a priority mailbox.

And a Mobile. I can't believe I dove into this. Crazy, I know, but i just saw these cute shapes hanging from it in my head and had to run with it. I made the one piece of striped paper last for this mobile and the wall hanging and i have some left over! I used misc. buttons, bling, SavvyNsassy lace, K&Co chipboard pieces, a tag that I layered with my Colorwashes and Glimmer Mist, beads from my stash...and lots of other stuff from my stash. The top is a picket fence from the craft section of walmart!!!

And a simple card...some stitching, computer journaling, bling...and you're done!

Savvy N Sassy Jan Kits

today i am thankful for RIBBON! every color, shape, size, texture....

so you love ribbon? ah. duh. of course you do if you are coming here, lmbo!

i am so lucky to be able to design with these killa kits every month from savvy n sassy. they are always jam packed with color and different kinds of ribbon...lace...grosgrain...ricrac...you name it! AND the sell out frequently so don't slack, k?!



and...a layout...my dear friend and horrible daily planner, louise, sent me this photo of her daughter. the reason i say that is b/c she is suppose to be scrapping with us this weekend at S.A.V.E but got the wrong date on her calendar. we are going to miss you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used the I Deserve It All Kit from Serendipity Scrapbooks. I used a lot of the cardstock stickers on here...i cut some of them and layered them like patterned paper. And i layered the Crate diecuts over my scraps {upper right corner}...anywho... isn't she cUtE!

thursday; lovely, busy, thursday

thursdays are out of control for me, i won't get home til late and have mucho paperwork to do.

so that brings me to today...today i am thankful for my mom. she comes down and stays with us for a few days a week {she drives 1.5 hours} and watches henry so i don't have to put him in daycare everyday and watches owen at night so i can work a few hours so i don't have to work weekends {or at least long on weekends} which means so much to me. Plus, i secretly know she likes it b/c henry reaches for her all the time now ;)...little stinker...

so, anywho....here is a lo i did with some Bella Blvd products...aren't these papers so fanatastic?! i had fun cutting the trees, that is the first thing i did when i got this kit from Simply Obsessed. these are the only trees i feel okay cutting down ;)

and some crate glitter cuts from Serendipity Scrapbooks...man, they make scrapping easy with all this good stuff! the journaling is hard to see so here it is: you, aunt amber and I went to rhorbach’s farm for a day of pumpkin hunting and apple . We had a blast. The sun was shining, the weather was perfect & so was the company. Your rode horses, pet a red deer and played in mountains and mountains of corn! I am so glad amber came that weekend. Not to mention green pumpkins!

i have a thing for funky pumpkins :)

January Schtuff

Today i am thankful for snow! I don't have to work tonight and owen gets to come home early :)

i miss being home with everyone now that the holidays are over! he is my scrapping buddy!

I was a busy girl before Christmas scrapping my heart out. These are some Serendipity Scrapbooks layouts from the I Deserve it all Kit loaded full of Crate and Sassafrass Lass goodies. I went nuts with the lo's and i was excited to get some pics from my cousin and dear friend, Louise, to scrap their girls.

So that brings me to what i am thankful for today. i am thankful for all things girlie, pink, glitter, bling and nail polish. I got a manicure for New Year's the other day and it feels nice to treat myself esp. when i have not been feeling so great these past few weeks.

this is first one isn't entirely my design. i saw a layout similar to this online and just loved it, so i tweaked it a bit.
