May Arts Burlap String and Sweet Stamp Shop

Hi! Welcome to May Arts and Sweet Stamp Shop blog week.
TONS of projects and inspo going around this week. Make sure you head over to May Arts to check out the awesomeness and I am sure there is a giveaway over there, too ;)

But first I want to mention really quickly a fun Birthday Bash going on over at Paper Secrets.

So ...now for the good stuff...RIBBON AND STAMPS!

I have a layout  for you today using some May Arts Burlap string and SSS stamps. I looooooooooove this burlap string so much that I sleep with it at night. hahaha, JK! You can't go wrong with it...it threads buttons beautifully and when you tie it in a bow it stays! I know ...it's the little things.... ;)

I took a few step out photos for you to show you how I wrapped the burlap string around the heart.

First, put some Score tape on the back of the heart. (I just drew a heart shaped and cut it out)

Then, just wrap the string around it and adhere to the back.

Flip it over and adhere to your layout and you are done!
I used a mix of sets on this layout....

the "love" on the chipboard piece is from the Sweet Victoria set and the pencils and xoxoxox" are from the It's a Man's World set.

Papers from Cocoa Daisy kit...include BasicGrey and Fancy Pants.

Happy Tuesday!

So this is funny. As I am typing this, I was thinking it was Wednesday. Oh boy.
Where does the time go?
First up, I wanted to share THIS awesome Give-a-way over at Lifestyle Crafts.
PICK ME PICK ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!! Hands down I love love love their 12" dies the best. Not to mention all if their stuff goes GREAT with Core!

I made some layouts this weekend with my some Cocoa Daisy kit papers and an older Scrapdango kit and some Websters! Love mixin' it up ;)

OH and make sure you head over to Core blog! Pink Paislee Swap week!!!!!!!!!!!!

Remember to click on the images to make them larger....

This was for an hour challenge you needed a list, some office stuff and other goodies. I have been dying to scrap this photo of Chase sunbathing. Cardstock is Core'dinations...Whitewash and a Jenni Bowlin mini. I got so much use out of this Fancy Pants Off To School paper from the Scrapdango kit a few months ago.

And some more Fancy Pants! Challenge was to use some large fonts. I am so into red lately!!! Maybe it's the Holiday season approaching...of course pair it with some teal :):):)

I cut some of the squares, embossed them and raised them with pop up dots from Glue Arts.

And some Websters!!! YIPEEEEE! It's been so long since I played with some. I forgot how much I missed it. This is for a handstitching title. Gonna do this more! And more hints of red red red!

Some hand stitching...

Embossed some Glitter Silk carstock from Core.

was up???

Happy Wednesday!

Feels like I have been getting things done lately so that makes me feel good, LOL! Too bad today is paperwork day. Every other Wednesday I cringe that fact so after this post, it is time to get to work.

And did I mention it is a full moon week? I know you are going laugh at me but people go crazy during the full moon!

I wanted to share my FTLOA of art cards that I made with the July stamp set. Make sure you stop by for the Card of the Day challenge. I am hosting this week :) I used some June kit goodies on here and some Core'dinations! Don't forget that you can stamp on your Core...it likes it ;) I submitted these guys to Papercrafts. It was my first time subbing to them, wish me luck next time.

I stamped on the Fancy Pants paper from the June it and than ran it through my Cuttlebug and layered it. ON AND there is a Kreaxions punch on here (from Just Imagine Crafts)!!!!!

How cute is that butterfly????

AND speaking of For the Luv of Art Announced their new Digi/Hybrid team!!!

Have a GREAT WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!

how could i forget!?

I just wanted to share a layout I did for Memory Makers Magazine. I have to tell you, handing the extra copy that they send you to owen's friend's parents {his two buddies in the photo} was the best feeling. We saw them at owen's kindergarten graduation and their grandparents were there too and their faces lit up.

The boys were like, "we're in a magazine! we're in a magazine!". It made me realize why I love scrapbooking so much. I was glad they didn't ask me for the layout! lol, jk ;)

I used some of my favorite Fancy Pants Paper for this one & lots of other misc. goodies.

these 2 weeks have been so emotional for me. everything has come to a head for me...the house, my job, owen, henry, brian, missing my sister, not going to the celtic festival this weekend. but the sadness is over. BYGONES. DONE. GOODBYE.

This is the first time i have ever found creativity in sadness if that makes any sense at all. The thing is i couldn't scrap owen. I will though. tonight was good watching him play soccer tonight, explaining his scars again. BYGONES. DONE. GOODBYE.

Today finalized something for me about scrapping my future. Stay tuned on that one.

Thanks for letting me vent the past few days. I am done with all that and ordering some boots from Urban Outfitters. Specifically these. I feel like I kicked some butt lately.

Or maybe some from Piperlime. I am diggin' this site. I can order shoes for me, owen and brian all in one shot. yup. nice. or their are these lovelies from Black House White Market...hmmmm...decisions! hello Judly sling back~meet ellen!

oh and i didn't even check out Anthropologie yet!

these boots were made for walkin'...you know the rest!

Or maybe the Bind-it-all. Feel free to vote!

I leave you these...two layouts with some Fancy Pants love that I got from HSS. And the Pageframe star! THANK YOU SHARON!!! I sprayed some Tim Holtz spray washes on it {Stream} and then sprayed it with glitter adhesive {a new FAVE of mine} and then while it was still tacky...i added Doodlebug Glitter and voila! they made green but funky, sparly kinda fun greenish blue and yellowish!

Oh and pop up dots. Please. Could i go through one more packet of these??? LOL!
