2sketches4you

So my mojo left me for a bit and I was browsing blogs and schtuff and I remembered how much I LOVE 2sketches4you and that it has been forever I did one of their sketches.

So here it be....

Supplies:
New Graphic 45 Core Impressions from Core'dinations and the core'dinating Graphic45 papers :)

Stamp is from myStampBOX. And for the notebook paper (used my punch for that) I used the backside of the Core'dinations cardstock. Love to do that!

Have a great weekend!!!!!!!

baaaad blogger syndrome...

yes, i have bad blogger syndrome...i just needed a break this week. the weather has been gorgeous here so i have been taking the kids outside as much as we can {we are having ladybug infestation right now, bleh} and i have been working alot. i have a few clients i am losing at the end of the next two months so that will free up quite a bit of time for me. yes!

Creative Cuts & More is sponsoring 2sketches4you so you have to run over there and check out the card kit you can win!

I used the mug card found here. I used this awesome technique that Liz showed us over at Serendipity Scrapbooks for the foam. You could use it as icing, snow...whatever! oh...it's called Faux Frosting. I added some Core'dinations and Jillibean Soup goodies and a fun quote i googled.

here is a close-up...i used my NEW Shimmerz on the frosting to give it a bit of sparkle ;)

and don't forget to mark your calendars for this ...it's gonna be a BLAST!

2 sketches for you

here is my card for the  card showdown over at 2Sketches4you. My super talented friend, Kimmy, posted about it on her blog so i jumped in! i just loaded it and there are 308 ppl in it! ACK.

here is the card i made based on the sketch by Laura below. I used Core'dinations Chocolate box Cardstock. Chocolate box? what is that you ask? it is soooo cool! as you sand it, the color comes out beneath the brown! so the "core" on this one is green.

i cut out a window in the card and put the rubon on the Jillibean Coupon {it said save the date and i would never use it so i used the part with the grid on it} and glued it to the inside of the card like this. So it is peaking through the inside of the card underneath the transparency. the great thing about their papers is that they are double sided so it looks pretty on the inside. When i cut out the circle for the frame to show through it was pretty jaggedy-looking, LOL! now the inside looks purdy.

almost forgot...here is the sketch....
