Forward Progress, Sad News, and a Crop!

Prompt 10 is up over at Forward Progress and we have a sponsor! So as i logged in to check my email today, i got an email from CMK {i sub to the announcements section so i can get news when new stuff arrrives in the store, lol} but i am sad to say the store will be no more. CMK will be closing it's doors as of Aug 31st. CMK was one of the first places i ever joined. i have made some long lasting friends there and i am just plan sad. maybe i can convince them to come hang with me at Serendipity ;)

With that being said, pre-crop challenges are posted for The
Happily Ever After Crop next weekend and they are fun! Nothing like a crop to cheer you up a bit. Make sure you check out the August Kits, too! The last few posts I have done with the Collage Press Knave of Hearts and OA have been from that kit.

Forward Progress

The Forward Progress prompt is up!

This month we worked on taking stock in our lives. When I thought of my life and what that meant to me, I just started writing...kind of like free writing. Whatever came into my head went straight to the journaling, even if it didn't make sense ;) Then I added fonts and different sizes and printed it directly on the cardstock.

I hope you guys follow along FP... journaling and working on projects about your future can be really therapuetic! I can't say enough about it.

so so bad....LOL!

don't even want to count the number of days i haven't blogged! i have been swamped.

LSSS is going on over at Serendipity and we finished up our crop over there. I had some projects do for Core'dinations and I have a layout going to CHA! yeah! and i have another project on the Jillbean blog {psyched to be getting a project of theirs pubbed in Scrapbook Trends Holiday book}.

SavvyNSassy {my numero uno place for Ribbon and all things Glimmer Mist and shiny} is having a DT call, so check it out!

AND i have some GREAT NEWS! i got a job teaching at a local community college! it will be one night a week for 4 hours starting mid-july. i am sooooooooooo stoked. this is EVERYTHING i have been working for, well, my whole life. it is my dream to be a college professor and i know this is a small step but really is a huge step for me. i have been sending out resumes forever {it feels like} and to get this call for an interview so exciting. so i have been preparing for the interview for days and have really submerged myself in that.

AND i cannot say ENOUGH about what Forward Progress has done for me. a months ago on this prompt, we all made 5 goals we wanted to achieve in 5 months and i honestly only have ONE MORE TO GO! when i did this month's prompt a week ago, i had three to go and now all i have to do is run my 5k since i got this job!

it's not too late to do your 5 for 5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and to be honest. i NEVER would have done any of this if i did not hold my self accountable and get these goals on paper. i was sending out tons of resumes and i finally said, i am going to hand deliver this if i want it that bad and i did just that a few weeks ago. and bam.

mine is about wanting people to care about garbage and the earth, pretty much. more specifically, the garbage they throw in the street that ends up in my yard, esp after the snow melts. oh, and have you ever had a cig hit the hood of your car? grrrr....

so that leads me to what i am thankful for...people that care.
