Happy Wednesday!

Good Morning!

So how is everyone today? All I have to say is holy heartburn, LOL! We had some serious garlic last night and apparently it is still around. Why do I love it so much???

Well, I am going strong on getting caught up on my blogging ;) I did some cardmaking this weekend. I found on this card and a few other projects, when I kept tying the twine in a bow it felt a little lost. So I started to double it up and do kind of like a double bow (not sure if that is a technical term or not ;) So I thought I would take some photos of it. The patterned papers are from our sponsors over at Passionately Artistic, then I used my favorite Cuttlebug folder, and a SRM Sticker. I order mine from the FTLOA store here.

First, cut your twin twice as long as you normally would for your bow. And fold in half.

Now tie a bow...you will see it has an extra loop.

Just trim that third loop and you have a nice even bow. I do it this way because the ends are nice and lined it up for me. You can obviously double up the twin and not have it attached but it always moves around for me if it's not.

Voila!

Here is the finished Card....I used my Spellbinder's dies in the Cuttlebug as well.

Pearls are from Want2Scrap! love these little guys. they are so delicate!

Have a creative day!

What's up Wednesday?

Can I getta woot woot!?!?!?!? Super stoked about this :):) :) I've got everything crossed right about now...even things I didn't know I had are crossed! wish me luck, I am going to need it with that list.

AND today is a GREAT day over at Passionately Artistic! TONS of goodies going on over there....make sure you link up your fall goodies for a chance to be spotlighted and for some goodies!!! My good friend Maggie works so hard over there to bring inspiration every day.

I have some more FTLOA projects to share with you. A card using some Jillibean Soup patterned papers (that Norma knows how much i LOVE their stuff so she spoils me) and a myStampBOX stamp. ANd I was spotted again today :) I don't know...this paper reminded me of a necktie....just some freehand cutting...

And a layout using Pebbles Inc papers. I have to tell you, I am definitely ordering more of their lines SOON! You know me, I love a good boy line and this is no exception. And tons Cuttlebug embossing on here as well.

The cardstock is Core'dinations....and the camera stamp is from August's For the Luv of Art kit. I hit it with some Adirondack color washes....

Bella Blvd letters that I ran through my Cuttlebug. Just put them on wax paper and voila!

GCD Studio Contest

I was so excited when I saw the GDC Studio contest because I knew my August Kit from LBD was full of some juicy goodies from them :) I was so excited that I forgot the part about making a layout about your home town...LOL! How funny is that. The good part is, I have some left over ;) and I LOVE this little goody I made to hang in my dining room.

I ran the birdie and the flowers through my Cuttlebug for some added dimension....

There is a Melody Ross sticker hidden in there....

And the stamp is from Norma Kennedy over at For the Luv of Art from the June kit..OH and TONS of Shimmerz that Norma just loaded in the store!!!

Cuttlebug Be Inspired Challenge No. 48

We are still having a blast partying away at the Cuttlebug Challenge blog! WOOT WOOT! I am loving my bowling theme!!! Owen always wanted a bowling party so now I am good to go with everything that I need.

Make sure you check out the tutorial on how to alter a tin for quarters for the arcade and how to alter a Jenni Bowlin bingo card for bing bowling! yeah baby.

So here is an altered treat bag and gift card. I used the NEW and FANTABULOUS Jenni Bowlin {kinda like Bowlin -g LOL} embossed Core'dinations cardstock from CHA this year. I sanded the embossed circles and thought, hey! these would make cute bowling balls! so i used my stylus and added some paint dots. Make sure you get your fave online store or LSS to get this stuff...it rocks!

and a close-up....

here is the bag and card....

ALSO! i have some BIG, HUGE news! We are having a Pimp Your Bra crop over at Serendipity Scrapbooks the weekend of October 16-19th!

We have loads of sponsors already! and they aren't all scrapbooking companies!!! ;) ;) ;)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

It is a birthday celebration ALL MONTH LONG over at the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog! Participate in all the challenges and get a chance to be pubbed in Ready Set Create! All the challenges and tutorials this month will be about making your own party, from invitations to party favors...we have the inspo for you!

First off...invitations...

The theme for my party is a Bowling Party! The great thing about a bowling party is it isn't genger specific. And I have some fun games and party favors up my sleeve for ya later this month. Can't wait to share them! My invitations feature Core'dinations Cardstock and the Cuttlebug Herringbong Folder. I love using my 6x6 acrylic block to sand an edge on my Core'dinations. It is super easy and looks great!

Make sure you let me know if you are playing along this month so I can come see!

Cuttlebug Be Inspired Challenge No. 45

My first Cuttlebug Be Inspired Challenge! I have been dying to get started, though I am still waiting for some stuff for the remaining challenges, I got to give these fun templates from Paper Popsicles a go!

I made two templates with my Core'dinations Cardstock and used one as my main piece and then cut the other one into two separate cherries & embellished them with some buttons. Shimmerz worked perfectly for the highlighting.

Make sure you check out what the rest of the DT did here at the blog.

and don't forget about the Caardvarcks blog hop with Core'dinations as the sponsor!

So much going on...

i thought things were supposed to slow down at the end of the summer, LOL!

brain started his new job and owen started football last week so we are trying to get into a groove with that. so from every saturday moving forward, i will be camped out on the football field cringing and cheering! here he is with his game face on.

i am super excited...terry from Creative Cuts and More called me and i will be a guest designer for them in september and then again in june or july! they have the best premade diecuts so make sure you check out the store. and they are having a blog hop tomorrow with lots of inspo and give-a-ways.

maggie called me this weekend, too and it was so good to talk to her again. maggie was the first person i really clicked with when i started finding my way around this online scrapping community and she brought me onto her digi team to do some hybrid a few years ago. with my marketing background, her and i would do a lot of brainstorming sessions, LOL! so when she called me asked me to join the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog team and help promote the site i could not have been happier!

i am so excited for these new opportunities that i have been given lately, i just wanted to share.

Here is a little mini matchbook journal i made with the October Afternoon papers and journal spots from the Serendipity Scrapbooks Just Enough Please kit for August. I used the Cuttlebug Houndstooth Embossing folder on here with the Core'dinations Whitewash.

Altering...Again!

here are a few projects i did at the crop this weekend over at Citrus Tree Studios. I really love hanging out overe there..it is really relaxed and it is so fun. And i ended up winning the gradn prize! can you believe it? cindy is so generous...she gave a way a mini Clip it up! woot woot!

i used some BoBunny Birthday papers on here and I added tons of Glimmer Mists and colorwashes to the crepe paper to get it to match the papers. i love all the greens and yellows so i accented the hat with some Yellow Art Institute glitter.

he actually stands on the button!

We got some Clear Scraps in a product trade with Core'dinations and I used one of the ornaments on this altered frame. I heat embossed on it with my {fave} beeswax stamp.

I sprayed the frame with Glimmer Mists and Colorwashes and then added a crackle medium to allow the colors to show through. I used my Cuttlebug, Core'dinations and BoBunny goodies on here.
